I think Girmay stays then, he renewed after winning green and should be quite expensive.

For Barré it won't be a problem no, his salary is probably very low. For Girmay it's harder, but I don't think Intermarché will be asking for the full compensation if he really wants to go. You also don't really want to end in a legal battle, most of the time it's just threatening, they also don't want to piss off Carrera probably.

It depends, but Intermarché was registrered in Belgium so they definitely have contracts under Belgian Law, meaning it definitely also counts for foreign riders. Every Belgian rider (cause technically employed by Belgian cycling, its super complicated) can use law of 78 tho if they want to get out of a contract, even if they aren't at a Belgian team.

Bit of a step up for him, he was originally meant to be racing with Arkea's devo team for 2026/2027. Had a typically slow first U23 season this year, but a strong junior career. If he fulfils the talent he has, he's a massive get for Cofidis given they don't have a devo team.
