It looks like China is becoming more and more of option, especially compared to joining a European conti team. Here's an interview with Salby about it

The past couple of days, Jesper Rasch & Nils Sinschek (both did some strong races in China for Parkhotel this year), Alexander Konychev (Vorarlberg), Cameron Scott and Calum Johnston (Caja Rural) were all announced to make the move as well.

As Salby mentioned in the interview, so far it also seems to be infratructure were connections help a lot to get a deal.

Top Asian teams use to pay quite well, much more than a European Conti Team. If the cyclist can cope with living in China or Malaysia, money-wise the transfer is a very good option.

Japan as well, but i have the impression there are fewer openings in those teams currently and it is a much more attractive country in terms of lifestyle for europeans.

Sporting-wise, which has always been the main issue for eastern teams (apart from heading to such a different culture), it seems to be a better choice as well than it was five years ago, at least currently it is feasible to rebound and come back to the pro ranks.

I would expect INEOS to extend Kwiatkowski, Heiduk, Rivera and Swift.
Jayco is supposed to extend Foldager, Hepburn and Hellemose.
Cycling Academy to extend Einhorn, Kogut and Raisberg
Astana is supposed to sign Lev Gonov and Scalco.

Probably only 4-5 real spots are still open.

Scalco could be devo (with a pro contract for 2027) or Gonov is kept at devo, not sure.

I think the biggest question is Ineos. Rivera, Kwiat and Heiduk are basically confirmed to extend, I think we would've heard more about Swift if he didn't so that's 26. Haven't heard anything about Hamilton. But at least 1 transfer is needed, and it will probably me more than 1 given the rumors they are still trying to get multiple climbers. Gee is option number 1 of course, but Onley (unrealistic imo) and Van Eetvelt (more realistic given merger unhappyness and only 1 year of contract to be paid off) are also rumored.

Do we know anything else about who is staying on board of our newly merged disaster team? Mainly about last 3-4 spots that were unconfirmed.

I'm utterly disappointed about how things have been managed. Honestly it feelis like Boulart and Visbeek dismantled the whole Wanty team which seems was collapsing just to jump ship to Lotto while mistreating everyone else in the process.
