That would be yet another slap in the face for Skelmose at Lidl-Trek pretty much.

Have a hard time seeing Lipowitz making the jump however unless RBH are strained to offer him a good deal that is. Even with Hindley, Martinez and Vlasov in the squad, the only real long term challenger to Lipowitz in the team is Remco and it remains to be seen who will actually be stronger of the two long term in GTs.

What about Ayuso?

The only reason why he will take it as a slap in the face is that he seemingly still lives in the fantasy world where he's a budding GT GC prodigy. For the things Skjelmose is actually good at, Lipowitz won't get in the way much, at most they will share leadership in one or two shorter stage races which might not be a bad thing anyway.

Is it really a fantasy? He still finished 5th in the last GT he finished other than crashing out of the Tour last year. Is that all it takes for someone to no longer be relevant?

He was the only thing remotely resembling a GC rider for whom it was the first GT of the year, and had the riders who finished ahead of him cared about him whatsoever (or the riders behind him had anything in the way of domestiques) he would have lost 5+ minutes on the final mountain stage rather than being let back in after the penultimate climb. That result flatters him massively and I'm willing to bet he will never finish that high in a GT again.

Also, finishing top-5 in a GT doesn't equate to being a GT GC rider. There have been more impressive performances by riders who weren't really GT GC riders - Alaphilippe, Voeckler and Velits come to mind.

Again such an exaggerated media report about the GT Leadership puzzle at RBH.
Why should Martínez, Vlasov or Hindley block Lipowitz? Neither is as strong. It’s just ridicolous. And Primosz wont be with the Team After 2026 (btw also Hindleys contract ends). So…where is the Problem exactly

I don’t know what would be more amusing to be honest, Evenepoel or Ayusos reaction to getting dropped by their teammate Lipowitz is going to be great entertainment either way.

Evenepoel will be dropped by lipivitz who will be dropped by hindley who will be dropped by pelizzari. Meanwhile Roglic will be in 50th wheel biding his time
I think Hindley is the typical rider who performs best in the Giro. Lipowitz only needed 2 GT to do a Tour podium, and that's very important in a Tour de France.

I see Ayuso as very similar to Valverde. He could win a Vuelta depending on his rivals, but he's going to struggle in the high mountains of the Giro and the Tour.

When we talk about Lipowitz' podium in the Tour, we have to consider that the field wasn't impressive IMO. The jury is stil on Onley. But him, Gall, THJ and Vauquelin weren't in many 4-7 expectations pre Tour.

But where are the impressive riders? Evenepoel is, but at Grand Tours he never was near the big 2. Del Toro could step up, but also isn't near the top 2 at the big climbs.
Almeida could have podiumed perhaps but he is also near peak Vingegaard and Pog.

Lipowitz shape at Dauphine and the Tour was just really good with no weakness beside his suicidal move at Tignes.

Who was missing? Carapaz, who last year had to go for stage wins because he could no longer fight for the overall?
Remco didn't finish, but he was there.

I don't think Hindley would have done better than Lipowitz.
I think Hindley is being overrated because he won the Giro. Winning the Giro doesn't necessarily mean he's better than the rider who finisished third in the Tour.
This year's Giro winner was a domestique in the Tour.
