I'm so unfamiliar with the game, I can't calculate anything!
I did get the winner, today, but no idea how the GC thingy works.

Seems I only had 1 rider in the correct place, but 5 or 6 just one place out.
Checking the rules, I think about 15 points, but I'm probably wrong.

Anyhow, I don't expect to be Touring, next month.:(

think it is (for GC):
-1 point for having your guy in the top 20.
-1 additional point for having him in the correct place.
-If your rider is 21-30 you receive 0.5 point.

and for the stage, 1 point for the winner, 0.5 for top 3.

if I don't go through because of .5 of a point I will blame rasmussen. Why did he have to finish 4th today??!!

So, you and me could be the respective, first best LOSERS, then?;)
I'm European and would have got through there.

Foxy top scores? Must be a fix!:D:D

It seems you make the cut as wild card qualifier.

And yes, the game was rigged for me. ;)

Good to be advancing to the next round, even after being very unlucky throughout the whole game. My stage picks turned out badly any way they could and I have only Purito in the right place (of 14 correct top 20 picks).

Greatest game around. Most straightforward, most complete, most fair, most relying on actual knowledge of the sport.

Thanks Foxxy, you da man!

Thanks from me too, although the game didn't go that well for me. I probably would have just needed to lock up the Cav stages to get to the next round though. Everything very close together.

Thanks for all the flowers Boomcie. :)
You're very welcome.

@TLR you were so damn lucky, lol.
I don't think you would have made it without all those correct placings in the end :).
+Kreuziger in second place? :p

Jakob had some very remarkable picks. Looking forward to see if he will also surprise at the Tour.
Hitch & Foxxy very solid.
Sylvester: nice top 20.

@Hitch, where was Zaugg in your top 20? I heard you call him out many times before the start of the Giro.

The ones that picked these riders for their top 20, please explain:
Vladimir - Minguez (?)
Jens - Bandiera (?)
Bayerische - Martin Velits (?)
...

It's been great fun. Every time my betting failed I came here for a bit of encouragement. Pretty much with the same amount - or lack of - succes as the betting, though. Luckily my 3/3 Cav predictions gave me yet a chance in the next round. Looking forward to that as well.

Good job, Foxxy..!

Feels good to make the cut. For the Tour though, I'll do much more prep - I only spent about an hour on this for the Giro.

My too. I suddenly got a message from Foxxy saying there was not alot of time to send in the fantasy team. I just mixed something up in 20 minutes. Will hopefully do better next time.

Spending little time is not neccesarily a disadvantage. i had exams so could not devote any time to games and only entered this one because foxy pmd me.

Because by the time you get past the first few stages, there are so many factors at play, you have as much chance with a general idea of who is a good climber/sprinter as with well thought out ideas of how the race will develop.

If i had spent a while thinking about it i probably would have picked cav for some of the stages he crashed in, rather than the 3 he won.

Similarly the gc, if you have a well thought out idea of who will come 4th 5th 6th 10th 11th etc, and one person in the middle somewhere gets injured or underperformed, your whole chain has been broken.

But it also works the other way around: If you spend a whole night like me, searching for the last sleeper, and scratching the head about who has the advantage on a sprint where stones may confuse a sprinter helps too. :D

Tought you were lost without trace. Now you suffer trou the TdF, and then win it all again at the Vuelta....
