I just had a look at it all. This is very hard.
I have narrowed my top 20 to about 25 riders. Unsure on order, unsure of the places, this is a very open race.

ANd the stages... man this is super hard, I wouldnt be surprised if i got no stage wins :S

Lucky you. This year you´ll score 1/2 points when the picked stage winner finishes in the Top-3 of the given stage.

So unless you don´t pick Cav in a mountain stage, you´ll score

I'm with timmy, no Contador makes it hard. I also think that I will break the golden rule, and pick Cav to win the first sprint!

It looks like we´ll have a tournament of "32" like last year. Anyway, i still take sign-ins, even if we top 32 players (at now we are at 31). The final split of "europe" vs. "world" divisions i´ll announce when i received all picks.

It´s always hard as you know. Especially the spots 10 to 20. The game is heavily decided there & in the stages. I think a real dollar game should be hard when the entree is free & winning is awarded (i.e. entrants don´t waste time for "nothing").

@ everbody:
I am a little surprised we have only 31 entrants. At the same time last year, there was more action. This game is much fun as the vets can confirm, and it differs a lot from the usual "Pick-9-team-members-Manager-Game". (Honestly, it´s not my intention to take away anything from the great CQ-Giro-Game BTW, i´d even like to play there, tough i won´t find time to do this, since i am at full work now to manage this game).

I did my best to advertise & invite all the good informed cyclingnews members. For those who want to play, and have not yet signed in, i´ll prolong the deadline until the starting time of Giro on saturday.

I suspect the low number of entrees, is a.) b/c the "Betting thread" is hidden this year, while it was in the pro racing forum last year, or
b.) b/c the competition of the CQ-Giro-Game (not existing last year) took many players off this free earning pro game, or c.) i made the mistake to announce the start to early (in february 2012), so guys got lost somehow. Tipps to make the game more successful are always welcome.

So guys, who have already signed in: Make some advertising in the pro forum (especially those "heavy posters") to join this game.

Plenty of spots are free for free dollars. We shall be at least 32/33 players like last year.

I have received 14 rosters from the 31 "already signed-in-guys" by now. Still 18 needed to have the (at least) 32-Tournament-Format.

For stages just limit the number of names you pick, that way if they manage to win a stage you're half a chance of getting the right day.
