Looking good for qualifying for the Vuelta. Unless disasters happen

Hasn´t happened yet, that someone leading this far in the contest didn´t qualify for the next round. So i bet you are safe...

P.S.: Same is true for Froome, of course.

As predicted, big shake up in the standings. I was one of the victims (thanks, next to others, for the epic meltdown Mr. Taaramae ).

Ferminal gained 7 (!!!) spots, Vitapen & Sylvester each 6 and Boomcie 5. Those are the big winners.

The biggest downfall suffers barmaher (no less than 9 spots !!): from sure qualifier down to the lower rankings. Also to mention are The Hitch, minessa and Wilco (all minus 4). Many dropped by 3 ranks (unluckily, it includes me).

Standings after Stage 11:

Europe;
19,0 Sylvester (22) +6
19,0 Froome19 (21) -1

Yes, better than expected. But we are living on the edge now (coming from sure qualifiying, just yesterday).... Mine looks even worse. There´s a good chance Roche collapses once more, or even more likely Taaramae gives up completely. That´s where i might lose my important points that still got me in the qualifiying ranks. And we both have no one to step up.

Conclusion: Same as last year, i´ll suffer with Taaramae (from the sofa;)), and i´ll cheer for him. He´s my guy from now. Just 2 mins from dropping to 31st :(... Plus i have no one in the correct spot now. Just gimme a little luck please. Some guys are sooo close.

Some player movements since the first mountain stage. As you´ll see, very exciting as planned when i started the game last year. Thrilling guaranteed until the final stage. Nothing is set in stone.

If i had just a little knowledge of programming, i could insert tables for all players. It could look beautiful...

Anyway, here we go:

(player rankings after each stage 7, 8, 9, 10 & 11)

Sylvester 7-10-9-7-1
Froome 4-4-1-1-2
Dekker 1-1-2-2-3
Foxxy 10-3-5-3-6

Mellow 1-8-5-1-1
Vitapen 6-6-11-8-2
Ferminal 10-7-6-10-3
Boomcie 13-13-9-9-4

I am on the rollercoaster (not that i want that), Dekker has a slowly but gradual down process (;)), Sylvester, Vitapen and Boomcie exploded lately...

Imagine, i had Ten Dam on my Top-50 list. I finally did shy away from him since i had already 3 guys from Rabo. And who survived? Of course the only one not picked.

Also had Pinot in my Top-50 list, since he was praised so much before the TdF. I did shy away from him, since i wanted to play it safe. Well, in the Vuelta i better take some risks, since a 6th place or whatever finish leads to nothing.

But not mnay people took a lot of risks, if I see the predicted top 20's.. most of us will score very low in GC :)

stagepicks are gonna be deciding

And that´s why you should not wonder to be that high in the rankings besides the Rabo mess. :D

I really start to think if i´ll go again with Gesink next year. It´s the 2nd year in a row he´s diappointing...

and then you dont pick him, guess what happens? he doesn't fall and finishes on the podium or perhaps even wins...

that's what always happens to me when i stop picking riders I picked the year before

Evans perhaps falling out of 2nd place is BAD for me.

Many had the combo Wiggo-1/Ev-2.... That´s basically a 2 point lead over those having it the other way around.... Well, that Evans dropped from 2nd today was the only good thing for me today. So i really liked it. :D

Exactly this will happen. So i have to stick with Gesink the rest of my life. ;)

Vitapen is going to the Vuelta. Who would have thought? :D
You even can improve should one of your riders bust. Voeckler & Rogers have an outside chance to move into Top-30. Well done...

Who's that sneaking up the tables without anyone noticing? Is it...? Could it be...? Well, well, it IS the reigning champ, doing his best Menchov impersonation. Obviously not the current Menchov, but the once-was-an-effective-and-sneaky-fella Menchov.

Yes mortand i noticed. As every tour, in the end you sneak in... i just wait for TLR to blossom lately. He´s on the same caliber

Lol what, to the top? :D

Stage picks might well be deciding, indeed. I have Brajkovic and Rolland in the right place now, so I really only have 17 points and although I'm in the lead now, it will be awfully close in the end.
