@ all

You all can change your Horner pick by rules until Saturday.
But to complete the computer writings I´d rather have it faster than that.
Now it happened what shall never happen: A favo has to be exchanged.

The rules again:
You can replace the pick but not shuffle positions.
Example;
You have Horner at 5th. That means you can name me a rider for position 5 only.

Stage picks with Horner can also be changed OFC.

Now it´s time for the real "sleepers". Who´s able to get a high CG placing out of nowhere? You know it´s Vuelta. Many can. But who? How about Chad Haga? ;)

@ BYOP and all the guys from the clinic:
A big smile. YES !!! Finally... :D

Now I have a serious problem here. I was truly considering Horner for first in CG. Imagine. Then after reading previews I only had him at 3rd.

But who the heck do I put on 3rd? Out of the blue.

An established GC rider, who crashed out of the Tour. Or a wildly inconsistent one, who hardly raced this year, but could jump on the podium out of nowhere. A few names come to mind right away. Unless, you've already picked them for a top-20 spot.

You could also play it conservative, and put in an anonymous rider with top-20 potential.

May I go with "Rider 22". ;)
BTW, I found him. But no. He´s not capable of doing a 3rd. I´ll go with a young gun. I have 2 in mind...

I had Horner in 9th. Problem is, I've got plenty of riders outside top-20 who can secure a 9th place in GC. Who to pick?

But don´t give hints and names...
I wanna see real surprises by everybody here. Interesting turn.

I'm reconsidering our mystery rider. He's definitely not podium material, but he could actually fit well into the 9th place I need. He's done similar before.

I left out both Contador and Froome
Well played, Sasquatch! I bet you're hoping for another late top-20 withdrawal, so you can use both of them?

Nice one Geraint...

@ all; And now we see how good I thought upfront years ago (I know, it sounds arrogant, but anyway...).
The 48-hr deadline is very helpful for cases like this (OFC next to the replacement player rule I need to call now and then, when one player stops the game besides being qualified. It happened again this time BTW).

Being said, I had one late sender wayyy after deadline (no not you I.Harm ;) even later, but before the Horner debacle). I didn´t disqualify him. But I think everybody agrees a little penalty is due (so that no advantage can be taken of sending late. Not now, and not in future :D).
He gets a 1 point discount.
I´ll come up on that later again, after the Horner mess is sorted out.

I thought everything will be online well in time tomorrow. Now I doubt. But I do my best.

are we allowed to replace sir Chris?

Yes. I guess my last post got lost on the latest news... So I quote it:

Aah King don´t give hints. ;) I consider him too. I am still undecided between an old gun or an up-comer... It´s tough one for me since it´s about 3rd place.

Now I could have cheated and said I was going with Horner at 11th. But that would have been cheating myself. And the clinic guys wouldn´t have believe that either.
At the end of the day. It makes it all harder for me. It´s a good task, because I have nothing to do, like preparing the GGTG.
