Yes...
Otherwise, back to normal form? As it seems the Vuelta was a outlier. May you have been drunk back then making your picks? Something I always was eager to know... ;)

What really plagues me is Kangert. It was a 33/33/33 about him, Rosa, or Cataldo... Actually I was even about to bring up to 5 AST guys in my T-20. I skipped that idea, as you all know...
My final cut was Cataldo (coz of Trentino)... then I decided for Kangert.

At least I'm in a good spot.

And today will be a sprint.

Trek, OGE, Giant, Lotto, Jumbo, Lampre will all chase. What is the point of having Matthews, Nizzolo, Mezgec, Modolo, Greipel and Hofland, riding if you dont' want to set them up for a stage win?
I really hope OGE don't contribute. They will be too tired, Clarke, Chaves and the rest have had to work quite hard. They should ride tranquilo (except for maybe the last 5km )and focus on stage 7.

Even though Pelucchi didn´t win, I am very very satisfied. He had the higher end speed, no one mentioned him (not even the commentators, or the RR-thread guys :D ), his team was at the front for a max of 5 mins  (I already feared he was lost in the middle hills) the whole stage, a train was practically non existent, he still suffers from the stage 1 crash, and yet he only lost by a half cycle length...

23 for Greipel
3 Modolo
3 Pelucchi = 29 scorers today.

I decided to make another provisional today, since a lot of scorers, and König & Trofimov swapt places in CG.

Provisional Standings after Stage 6: (Links: see frontpage)

Re:

Interesting that todays provisionals had relatively much changes given there was just a single CG swap, and some guys scoring 0.5 instead the 1 point for Greipel in the stage.

That brings us to tomorrow which is Matthews day :) and all of a sudden does the 94%-Contador-wins-the-Giro-pick survive day. I can pretty much relax on that topic, even though I would like to see a 3-way-battle instead of a only-2-slugging-it-out in the mountains. Either way, I am still confident that Porte rocks the TT and hangs on the wheel of either Aru and/or Contador in the mountains to prevail in the end.

Good point with Greipel, Im looking forward to tomorrow

Aaand...Eshnar equals Sceptic now!
Good pick Foxxy

Thanks, at least one padding me on the shoulder for that awesome pick (ofc Netserk & Kiilike must be hailed too). I needed that. :)

Glad I got an obligated non-Greipel pick covered with 0.5 point for Modolo :) best I could wish for. Still 2 Greipel picks left so looking good.

Not bad, you get the (almost) best possible out of the flat stages then? ...

If Greipel doesn't screw up, that is :)

Golden GGTG rule: Never use a rider for three stages. Isn´t that we we learned from the past (see Cav, Sagan, etc, injuries)?
Now this advice comes from a guy who does the same mistake again and again himself. This time wasting 3 picks for a out-of-form rider (Uran), and may have wasted 3 for an injured one (AC).
At least I spread the risks in the flat(er) stages (each twice for Greipel, Matthews, Pelucchi, once Viviani & Lobato), following my own advice there.

Well i am surprised that i am the only one in Coppi to pick Lobato for todays stage...

Need some picks to come in as i have Contador three times for later stages... lets hope he can recover!

Anyway, Everyone else in my division has Matthews (except one who has Gerrans) so tonight will be the first time where i wouldn't mind Greenedge to fail... but in reality i would be super happy if they could pull off another stage win...

Anyway, i think i am looking down the barrel of elimination...

Yep, i was pumped...

Still am, however, now i am dearly hoping for results to fall my way!

But it is what it is i suppose... long way to go and anything can happen yet!

Dont worry, Lobato won't break us down!

Yeah, I know :p but with Greipel being the best sprinter AND having the best team, I had to pick him 3 times.

And you did good with Pelucchi. He was really fast and will likely score you another (half) point later in the race.

"and will likely score you another (half) point later in the race"

Yes I know, 1/2 point and the competition scores one. So I win but lose again.

Cool. I wasn´t aware of that. Could turn out to be a great steal...

BTW, today we have...
24-Matthews
3 Gerrans & Lobato (Next to ILove & Digger, also Ruud)
only once Gilbert... also 1 for each Battaglin, Felline, Modolo, LLSanchez & Villella

Yes, you are right, congrats :) ... and since Matthews didn´t have the power in the end, it´s worth more than that 1/2 point. Actually you being the only one in A to score.
