Doesn't quite belong here, but it's not worth a new thread, & we discussed Carlos already, so here it is:

La dieta de Carlos Bentacur

and in English

Operation Bikini. Same one I have been on in the last few years. As A Colombian, I can confirm what Betancur says, it only takes a few weeks to gain 10 lbs in colombian food. What I hope Carlos has the ability to do, which I don't seem to have, is lose those 10 lbs before the classics. I usually lose the 10 lbs by mid September, just in time to start the off season again

the problem is betancurt hasn't trained at all this winter. so he has no base, which means he won't find form anytime soon if ever this year. that's very bad

It all depends if you eat all wife, mom, grandma and aunts are willing to serve.
I actually put some weight when I was traveling thru North America. Not now that workout 5-6 times a week

Well, the riders that complained or got punched were all either English-speaking or Dutch-speaking.

The Belgian press did not do any reports on Tyler Farrar or people hanging on to cars. Just Dehaes, because he's a Belgian. If even the Belgian press did not care enough about this race to report the Americans complaining than you cannot seriously expect any other press to report it either.

The English-speaking websites only reported the Dehaes incident because it fit with their 'complaining' about this race, in my opinion.

Either way, I do not feel as if you can jump to any conclusions about whether it was blown out of proportion or not, because certain media did not report it. No media cares about this race, apart from the South Americans and they obviously wouldn't report it.

Geezzz Louis.... since when Bentacur turns into Noval??? He might eat tons of food to get to that weight. Is it going to be enough time to reach his ideal weight and repeat his last year giro performance at TDF??? He needs to stop eating colombian choco :D

Wonder will big names just head to the TDU now and avoid San Luis or will they put up and shut up, next climbing test for riders will be in Oman which is a race I like despite not allowing live coverage.
Probably not. The TDU is raced too hard for the guys targeting GC at the TdF, without the long climbs that they need to ride for base. TDU is perfect for guys targeting stages at the Giro and the classics.

If the high profile GC guys avoid San Luis it will be to go to southern Spain or Tenerife and then race Oman.

it's definintely more than 6 kg. more like 8 or 9. also I don't believe he was ever 56 kg. the guy is 168 and he's always rather muscled, if all the fat is gone. he is more build as a sprinter.
