I'm starting to like this Fedi kid. Always seems to be on the offense.

Fedi is awesome. He came 2nd at GP Ouest Plouay in 2014 in a break with Chava, Alaphilipe and Wellens to name but a few. Three races in Italy this season he has finished 4th, 1st and 2nd. Too bad he didn't do Strade Bianche, or Lugano. Really excited to see him in other races.

Interesting that only Visconti out of the Top 9 also did Strade Bianche. Clearly a race that took its toll.

Wow,3 of the first 6 riders are from Cannondale and Formolo also finished 13th.
On paper they had a pretty strong team, but it's still a surprise and really impressive.

Any idea what happened to Nibali and Ulissi today? According to cqranking, they weren't among the 74 first who finished inside of 12 minutes of the winner

Nibali retired, didn't feel well.

Yes. They've hardly raced since the TDU, so must have been doing some fairly good blocks of training. Bodes well for Tirreno

Except when TTT is a disaster

It's no surprise, though. Cannondale has always sucked at TTT's. I don't recall them ever having done a good TTT.

2009 Tour was not to shabby, but they have definitely declined over the years

Since it's Vaughters' team, I'd say Tour 2011 TTT.

Yes, I agree. We should look at Garmin which was the team I was thinking of as well, when I said that they suck at TTT's. Actually, Garmin won the TTT in the 2012 Giro. They haven't podiumed a TTT since 2012, however.

Well, Slipstream was always a contender for TTT in their inception, since '08. That year they even won the opening TTT of the Giro, putting Vande Velde in the Maglia Rosa.

In their first years they had Zabriskie, Millar, Wiggins, Tuft, Vande Velde, Danielson, Pate, Cam Mayer, Bobridge, etc.

Nizzolo wins first race in national champions jersey, and wins it in Italy

Yes, albeit with an ad hoc national champs jersey since he was with the national team.

My god I can't stop laughing at this, I feel ashamed to question the October super peak
