Luc Grefte on twitter:

Operating on a loss for years and will have a 15 mil budget this year for the men's, women's and devo teams combined.

I mean it's been pretty obvious looking at their transfers. They either get taken over by some dodgy state, billionaire or multinational that wants to waste money or they are done for. No place for teams like this in the sport anymore

the buy-out they'll get for Onley will keep them afloat in 2026.
then Tudor/Q36.5 will splash the cash for the license
unless some billionaire steps in.
wait a minute! what's that Canadian billionaire's name...

So the deadline was essentially the date on which they announce that you have been given a later deadline.

At the time, the important part is next year.

When you see it:

Lidl Trek is German? According to the picture above.

Lidl - the grocery store chain - is German. So, I suppose it would make sense if Lidl Trek - the bike team - moves to a German license from next year.
But this is about Team Picnic! Or... should I say... "Team Picninc"?

Didn't Lidl become majority owner recently of Lidl Trek? hence the change.

As for team picninc (sic) well they only got a 1 year extension, so im not sure why the graphic says world tour teams for 2026-28 either. If they're in alot of debt, lose Onley, and arent looking likely to signing any names to score points it doesn't seem like they'd be around in 2027
