Surely Remco isn't passing judgment on intelligence

Tbf, a broken wrist isn't the worst injury for a cyclist to get. It is a shame because I think Tour of the Alps was one of his biggest goals this year, but he might be back in time for the baby Giro with his form affected but not that badly

Bora are wasting his time, he is already better than U23 level and should be having a crack at the Vuelta shepherding Roglic round and maybe going for a stage or two. I suspect they are doing it because they already have too many chiefs in the team.

There is no competition at Avenir, the decent guys are either a bit too young or have already moved up and beating an injured Mateo Ramirez and one of the Rafferty's won't do anything for him, other than everyone posting that video of Michael Owen smashing in goals from 6 yards against an infant.

'GYEEEEEEED IN THERE!'

From what I remember, it was Finn's choice to do another year at U23 level. Wanted to show off the rainbow jersey and win a bit, and I think there isn't much harm in keeping a lighter training/racing load at 19 (in terms of long term success or motivation). Keep it low-key and low pressure.

Hopefully he will do another pro stage race or two given this started so well and got cut short. Something like Burgos, l'Avenir, then an Italian autumn and WC/EC.
