The most alien jumps ever

Ah, "The Gift" stage. Armstrong's sprint doesn't seem quite as intense, at least towards the end, but the length is just insane. He decides he wants to get to Pantani so he sprints all the way there for a f.ucking minute, hilarious.

Mouth barely open, Ulrich looks at him go like oh for fcks sake not again and once he catches pantani he tells him to get on the wheel and proceeds to 75% sprint the rest of the way.

I think its Kloden at 6.54 in the 2010 Fleche Wallone

I don't see that as an Alien jump at all. It seems to me that he is just sprinting while everyone else is trying to pace themselves. To be alien, he would have had to gone on and won by 30 seconds, not blow up a minute later. Even if that would have happened, it doesn't compare to Froome or Armstrong putting in a massive, prolonged sprinted attack in the middle of climbing Ventoux and then immediately recovering to continue riding around threshold.

I think its an Alien jump, not those half hearted attempts we see from guys like Arredondo today.

The jump is the discussion, not if they win or keep it going

I agree that the jump looks impressive, but it's not alien. It's just a guy sprinting when no-one else is - because it's a ridiculous point in the climb to be sprinting. The context is what makes it alien or not. If a guy blows up almost immediately after making an insane jump then it's not alien for me, it's just a rider sprinting. If he continues to ride away from the field - like Armstrong, Froome, Cancellara - then it's alien.

seated uphill accelleration away from the competition.
very rare indeed.
only cance 2010 De Muur did that previously to my knowledge.
and maybe Froome 2013 Mont Ventoux.

Having played this clip many times now (confirmed cheating is sort of hypnotic to watch) I can see some distinct similarities.

Besides the obvious Cancellara innuendo, Froome's mutant attack on Ventoux in '13 was the first that sprang to my mind as this story broke. Also would explain the constant heartrate vid, that went around with the supposedly leaked powerdata. Clearly remembering the somewhat dejected Danish commentators, that had been building up to the final showdown, exclaiming in disappointment: "It's all robot-like!!"

Dunno, just sayin'..

(in his defence, I must admit to be pretty anti Froome biased. Not as much for the clinical aspects, but more his physique, demeanor and overall riding style.)

agreed.

look at Femke.
Then look at Cance 2010 Muur, 1:40 into the next link:

baffling similarities.
there's no doubt in my mind that Cance's jump too was motor-driven.

those who speak french and are interested in Fabian's case, check out Jackie Durand's rather compelling video analysis, contained in the following link:

Chris Froome vs Alberto Contador at the Dauphine stage 2 had moto doping written all over it. Multiple alien attacks.

sure, but that was all out of the saddle if i recall correctly. I could be wrong but in my opinion the truly suspicious jumps are (a) uphill, (b) devastating and (c) in-saddle.

No, 80% of the attacks were in saddle.

No, 80% of the attacks were in saddle.
but i think the truly devastating jumps where they really distanced other riders and/or eachother were out of saddle(?).
I would not at all be surprised to find out they were using motors there. Just saying that in my recollection I didn't see the type of jump there that constitutes visual evidence of a motor, such as cancellara's Muur away from boonen or froome's Ventoux away from derty.
But will have to check it again.
Thus far, I've only seen four 'motor-evidence' type of jumps, i.e. jumps that physiologically do not make any sense whatsoever:
- cancellara Paris Roubaix
- cancellara Muur
- froome Ventoux
- femke vd driesschen

Have you actually studied the physics in those four episodes you list? I read this a while ago:
http://cozybeehive.blogspot.dk/2010/06/anatomy-of-cancellara-attack.html
Perhaps it would be a good idea to take a look at that, before making claims.

cheers,
yeah, i know that link. Posted it myself in the older motordoping thread some time ago, and it was discussed there. From what I remember, it's not a watertight analysis.
When I have more time I'll look up the relevant posts and link them here.
