Polemicist?

I'd say so. Arrogant as hell, too. Not that I'm completely free of that trait myself, but it's just strange seeing a semi-public person behave like he does (or has done, it's a while since I saw him on Twitter, and I stopped following PCS there, too).

I see... far-right.

They're not that great. The owner is quite a moron too.

I've yet to find a similar page that are as easily navigationable.
FirstCycling are a close second, but they don't really seem to do preliminary startlists; if a full lineup is not confirmed, it's just "Lineup Unknown", even if individual riders are in fact confirmed.
PCS also wins by having extra information such as relations between riders - but not relationships, guess that would be a bit too gossippy, and also more subject to change - and adding if a rider has died.

Of course, for me - being very particular about riders being called by the right names - WorldCyclingStats is the worst.

Hmm...their current list seems to include partial lineups for MSR. Those 2 and CyclingFever are where I check. Sometimes they're all the same, other times quite different.

Had an inkling this could happen. Get some more miles in the legs, and when you're a freak of nature who's won more elite level bike races than anyone in the world by a long way, you never know what can happen.

I cannot imagine that Mathieu will be riding San Remo tomorrow. He has been out with back pain for a while. If he did San Remo now, it would be a 300km race as his comeback race.

In most years, this could work, because the peloton is strolling for the first 220 or 240kms, to avoid catching the Bardiani-led breakaway too soon. This year however, we probably will see an UAE-led peloton from Milano on, which will go full gas from the start. I think 300kms of full gas would come too early for Mathieu…

Look, they will not be going full gas from the start! What would even be the point of that?

I think you're only setting yourself up for a big disappointment with these completely unrealistic expectations of how the race will unfold.

nah, i've seen his strava files. He's ready for anything.

Will obviously not set the world alight. It will be a bit like the worlds in Leuven. Good enough to follow most moves bar the elite ones.

Probably you are right… I, however, at least hope this year‘s edition will be a little bit different than the previous editions.

Racing in Italy is usually pretty nervous. From Turchino on, positioning will be a key factor. Plus, this year, there are favourites with big engines who will want a hard race from early on.

Pogacar will benefit from the fact that he now has UAE Tour and Tirreno in his legs. He possibly could repeat his Strade Bianche solo. San Remo, however, is 120kms longer. His team should be able to control the race from the start on. Only surprise, I‘d say, is that they let Troia ride tomorrow. He probably will be their man for the first 50-80kms. Apparently, UAE‘s Directeurs Sportifs evaluate Troia is in decent shape. IMHO, he is - until now - the biggest surprise in MSR‘s startlist for tomorrow… :)

I don't think this edition is anything different.

UAE can do whatever they want the parcours is still *** easy for 280km. It will hardly make a difference over normal MSR.

Is MSR even more calories than Strade?

MSR is a freeroll for MvdP. Just get your ass in a good position turning onto the Poggio and I refuse to believe he has 0 shot

I refuse to believe Nibali has no chance at MSR even though he's not riding.
