No one’s ever claimed he’s perfect, obviously. But let’s not act like that one incident defines him. Mathieu has been under immense pressure his entire career, especially during the peak of his rivalry with Wout. Half the time it was Mathieu vs an entire nation including fans, media, and commentators, all constantly poking, provoking, and looking for cracks. He’s had beer and even piss thrown at him by deranged fans blinded by hate and envy.

Well, MVDP got my respect (again) today, but, honestly, Pippo even more (because I knew a super Mathieu would be sensational, but the way Ganna never quite was simply inspiring).
True story: On this very forum, I had a guy threaten to find out who I was, come to my house and tie me up while he r*ped my wife, so she could see what a real man was like. <of course he was banned>That one actually did frighten me a bit. Some people took that Armstrong stuff pretty seriously.
Man, I'm a huge fan of Mathieu but you're just as bad as some of those fanatics in the Pog or Vingegaard threads. Not liking someone is subjective. It can't be 'ridiculous'. And why the hell do you care?

It was nuts! The guy came on and it was clear that he was a bit off from the beginning, but he wen't over the edge pretty quickly. He did a sockpuppet a couple of times, but they ended up IP banning him, if I remember correctly.
Ah, well, that explains everything.
