The times are getting their revenge on Lance by the looks of it.

David Walsh gets an entire FULL PAGE IN THE MAIN NEWSPAPER TODAY, and a further half page in the sports section. This is a broadsheet on a sunday so a full page in the main newspaper is pretty serious coverage.

Nice!

Except that headline stole one of my best lines.

Dave.

To be honest I'm expecting journalistic confirmation of a lot of things tonight, but no real new ground. I just don't think a 30?-minute segment on 60 Mins is enough to broadcast all the revelations that many of us want to see.

However, I'm hoping that this is the very small snowball that starts rolling down a very long, very snowy mountain, and some other big-name media start putting their resources behind the many other angles of this story.

the thing about expedient relationships, Crow, Hudson, Olsen twin etc, they are by definition, expedient, they will dump you like the Gucci version of a colostomy bag.

GW Bush hated him supposedly, but be fun when the big whigs (sic) take a high moral ground and tut tut, like they did for the baseball embroglio

Gee...another BS story about Lance and team. Big surprise. Some lying POS who doped, denied, lied, went broke, was shamed, and now needs money by writing a book throws out the "I saw Lance dope" claim, and anybody will give him airtime.

Oh wait, Hincapie also said the story is BS that he told the FDA anything.

Lastly, grand jury testimony is completely confidential. So either, 1) the US prosecution is violating legal orders, risking their license to practice law, jail time, and reputation by leaking info out to try and build their case in the court of public opinion (wouldn't surprise me, they are wasting millions of my taxes on this ridiculous crap to begin with), 2) a person who testified/lawyer is leaking the info out to a source anonymously....or.....lastly...and likely...POS Hamilton wants to sell books. Big surprise.

People can say what they like, but the facts still remain, Lance never failed a test. Tests don't like. If they did, you shouldn't waste time and money with any blood work that your doctor orders and shouldn't believe those either. Yet, everybody does.

...And with one last sound of rending metal the Titanic began to slip beneath the waves.

Meanwhile, up on the deck, Zigmeister covered his ears with his hands and began shouting "WE ARE NOT SINKING, WE ARE NOT SINKING!!"

The Sunday Times are also seeking that the 'out-of-court' settlement that they reached with Armstrong (circa 2003/4) be reviewed after the conclusion of the US Federal Investigation.

I understand that the amount is a high six figure (GBP) sum and they (The Sunday Times) will be seeking 8% per annum interest.

Ouch....

Not sure if anyone else saw this but I just watched an episode of Outside the Lines (ESPN) where they interviewed Betsy Andreu. It of course rehashed the 'Hospital room' discussion, referenced EPO as "Liquid Gold" Etc. Seemed like something to wet our appetites for the CBS 60 minutes airing this evening.

(ESPN possibly to repeat the show/see it on line?!?)
I think ESPN shows a new episode every Sunday morning, with reruns all week at 3pm ET. They didn't have any of the video up on their website yet.

Oh please, the Clinic is littered with ex-fanboys who abandoned ship early.
Impersonating women and children to get a space on a life boat.
Pathetic really.
Really pathetic.

"But the Titanic is a fraud! Not enough lifeboats!"
"WaaWaaWaa"
Geez, no wonder all the hate and anger.
Must be hard looking in the mirror for those guys..

And btw, the Titanic will always be remembered for being awesome.
Awesome afloat.
Awesome at the bottom of the ocean.

Not like these Caribbean bound all-you-can-eat buffet boats infested with salmonella.
FDA needs to investigate THOSE boats.

But while the Titanic went down with pride, honor, and a band of jamming gypsies,
LA is going down doing pooh-pooh in his pantyhose.

It's 4:40pm EDT (New York time) right now and the program starts in 2 hours and 20 mins.
Hope that helps.

This one is showing the golf on CBS right now. Hopefully it will stay live for the show. It takes a while to start up.

wonder how many in the europea pro peloton will stay up and watch. I bet the radioshack boys on the giro might not be around for many interviews tomorrow.

OK, it should be two hours from now, but CBS always has sports on Sunday afternoons, so things some times get pushed back a bit. It would still be shown in it's entirety, but if golf goes to overtime or something, it might be a bit late

Stumbled across this. I wish they could have gotten Patrick Jane from The Mentalist :)

Kevin Hogan, the best "human lie detector", will join us live at 7PM EST for the CBS 60 Minutes show. #facts4lance about 3 hours ago via web Retweeted by 2 people

Preemptive strike. For those of you not from the U.S. - there's no one I trust more for investigative reporting and integrity than 60 Minutes.

But on Sunday, with another 24 hours to consider the report, Armstrong spokesman and lawyer Mark Fabiani released a statement to vehemently counter it.

"CBS has also attacked the reputation of George Hincapie," the statement said. "We are confident that the statements attributed to Hincapie are inaccurate and that the reports of his testimony are unreliable."

The Armstrong spokesman reitered Hincapie's claim on Sunday and further chastised the report.

"The only others with access to Hincapie's testimony -- government investigators and prosecutors -- have likewise assured us that they are not the source of the information attributed by CBS to Hincapie," the statement said. "CBS's reporting on this subject has been replete with broken promises, false assurances, and selective reliance on witnesses upon whom no reputable journalist would rely. This latest alleged revelation is no more reliable than CBS's earlier claims.

There's obviously only one way to sort all this out. Put LA, Fabiani, George, Tyler and Scott Pelley in a room with this body language guy. Oh, and DSK, too, while we're at it.

After taking a "peruse" of the body language guy site, it reminds me a lot of livestrong.(forgot)... it's all about selling merchandise! (in this case CDs)

Kevin Hogan is warming up watching the @t_hamilton interview, amazing to see this guy at work.

Who the fudge is Tom Hamilton? (apart from being a great cook who loves to fly fish)
