I do not quite understand any of it, whether it be Armstrong, Tyler or George.
It is a media Corp. an apparatus for selling commercials, an enterprise like Saunier Duvall, Phonak, Kelme etc., no different. Please were they not selling Psuedo Ephedrine themeslves(Claritin) not so far recently past?
Armstrong needs to get relevant on this, the 60 minutes interview is as important as one of Floyd Landis's 20 odd Twitter accounts, which is zilch.
CBS was relevant when they reported the Vietnam Conflict, when they showed Mai Lai and US body counts, now not so much! Why on earth would Armstrong's legal team even chose to confront yellow journalism from Tyler a proven cheater? For Armstrong to give CBS the time of day shows Armstrong's douciness. Very shallow by Armstong's team very leglizize false. Face Palm, Armstrong.

People watch 60 Minutes because they trust and believe them. They're also a reliable source to quote around the globe. Millions of people around the globe continue to hear the story. They're not a court. But there are serious legal investigations going on, and a lot of us are grateful for a snippet of information now and again. We also know that every time a story hits from mainstream media like the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Sports Illustrated or 60 Minutes, more people start to accept the truth, and many others start to question their own beliefs about the guy. You have an excellent point, that 60 minutes is respected and sincere. However, the pre-trial or investigation,(is it completed?) could be diluted by the 60 minutes interview? Look at Tyler, an intelligent guy, has a degree, 4th in tour, but also, well we know his story.
How do we know he (or Floyd?) isn't being paid by Armstrong to muddy the waters in any Armstrong case? These are serious questions.
Anytime a strong news media source becomes involved in a pending legal case, there is a chance of destroying part of the prosecutions case.

i just posted the link of cbs's official response to the amazing letter of the new lawyer.

that letter is truly phenomenal in it's patheticness.

how could a highly paid lawyer produce a letter with at least 2 easily debunked transparent lies and 3 cheap obfuscations that took cbs just a couple of hours to expose

either lance is losing touch as to the quality of his legal dogs or the situation is so disparate that the cheap pr tricks is all that's left..

let's for a moment put aside the meat of the two documents and look at their form and presentation (something i'm generally reluctant to do)

the differences just jump at you.

otoh, armstrong's legal letter is verbose, repetitive, filled with captions and harsh accusatory rhetoric

and on the other, the cbs response is laconic, to the point and crisp.

something is telling me that cbs was expecting the salvo and by some measure may even welcome the panicky lawyers stepping into the trap...

He's making enemies at every turn: CBS doesn't care how important and above the law Lance thinks he is.

I'd almost say checkmate. I'm not sure where Lance Armstrong can go from here?

Reading the comments on the various news sites most now just say "come on Lance, just tell the truth" - people just want him to be nomral and human.

He's in grave danger of becoming a total joke. People no longer take him seriously and laugh at each one of his denials.

I'm interested to see what his next move is...

Where does Lance go from here?
