I spoke to him about that so I got it from the horses mouth (oh sorry, we aint talking about Skippy), but I was polite and never pressed it when he professed to be unaware.

He intimated some things about the "assistance program" in other sports, notably implying the regime high-jumper Liu Xiang was on. It was only on the phone but MV said he was unaware. I was speaking with a query to MA Haijun, a guy who won the 2007 B chrono world champs. If you do a google image search of MA, and there is still the jpeg, or pic from Cyclingnews, there is this ripper of a shot of him from behind on his chrono bike, and his hamstrings are ripped to shreds and muscular like Ulrich. too impressive in visual form (tho that aint hangable evidence)

I am not naive, but I took MV at his word.
