I think he'll be glad to survive this one. All the pictures he look bloodied. Crashed and punctured at wrong moments but made through hell.

What happened to him after the crash where he slipped in the front?

Damn, okay. Im sure he would have made the front group if not for all those problems which meant he could have done a decent GC, but thats over now. Hope its not too bad..

Pretty late to react tho

Yeah that was my initial reaction, the BMC car did slam on the brakes, but he was far enough behind to have reacted. I suppose he had to show one bit of inexperience given all his promise.

Think he's got an eye on the rider and mechanic as the side of the road right as the BMC car brakes hence not reacting faster

Does anybody knows anything about Egan?
He gave interviews yesterday to Colombian television and showed his finger. He thinks is broken. I guess the x-rays results will come up shortly. However, maybe he can ride with the finger like that.

It will be a blessing in disguise if he abandons because then he'll be able to do the Vuelta, where presumably he would have better chances to run his own race.

What a pity. Hope he is fine and the finger is not broken so he can climb well.

I would be more worried for the descents and braking with a finger broken... but maybe thats just me

He has come so far now that it would be a huge downer for him to abandon.

Great he continues

I kinda wish Sky would have saved him for La Vuelta.....the TdF is just way to hectic. Well, I hope Sky put him on breaks (and don't chase) so maybe he can get a stage :)

Cool good news! I just want to see how deep he’ll go in the mountains. It’s really an unknown in a gt. I’ll be rooting for him even though he’ll be pacing two riders I really dislike!
