Current success of the Nibali move is one of the best arguments for small, non-dominant teams I've seen

Everyone kmows small teams make racing better. It's not an discussion.
If people dont agree...well...well... Well...then they are....lunatics! Lunatics I tell you!

Takes some skill to miss all the key moves the way Spanish have done today.

Having said that, they might still win it all at the end.

If I had to bet, I would put my money on the selection having been made. I think the peloton is done.

I'd make Henao slight favourite here from the front group. Not sure Nibali will have enough to drop him on the climb or descent unless his form has improved dramatically in the last week or so.

He should be in top form. All his prep this year was geared towards this race. We shall find out soon.

Sagan probably regreds now his decision, seeing GVA and Cancelara there
He would have had a chance for sure. Especially with this descent, he could have gone crazy if he was a bit behind at the top.

I am going to be so pissed if France and Switzerland bring this back only for Valverde to win

The lesser spot France coming to the fore. Incredibly unselfish teamwork from Cancellara in one of his last races - burying himself for a much smaller name with no hope of winning.

What?
If they get back it's because Valverde gave Canc a breather.

Forum Rule 23a:

You should not mention riders that aren't competing....unless it's Alberto Contador.

We all know virtual Contador would have won this race.
