In a decision which only makes sense in the la la land of Roland-Garros decision makers, the Zverev - De Minaur match is scheduled as a night session tomorrow evening.

It means Ruud will have his feet up sipping on a cocktail with no match until Friday... whilst his future opponent will be playing into the night of Wednesday-Thursday because xyz reasons.

Well, imagine you have bought Night Session tickets and only get one three-set match because it‘s past De Minaur‘s bedtime. Of course you could also try two women‘s matches in the night session, but if the first match takes too long then the second one won‘t get started soon enough.

Sinner-Alcaraz in the semifinal. Too bad it's not the final.

First set a bit off the spectacle hoped for, Alcaraz still needs to really show up. He's more or less lucky to have won 2 games.

I don't think Alcaraz will come back from 0:2 Sets, so the next one should be decisive.

Yes, Alcaraz!

Don't think he'll be able to beat Zverev on Sunday (I just expect for Zverev to win in his semi), but this was an enjoyable match.

Why not, it's not like Zverev is some tennis God.

Last year he won seven games in his semifinal against Ruud...

Maybe not, but players I don't care for end up winning more often than I would like. So I'm just preparing myself for disappointment.

Also, I'm definitely rooting for Ruud, hope he can get it done.

Ruud has played the final here the last two years, but people don‘t seem to take him seriously. Obviously last year‘s match isn‘t a good measuring stick because Zverev hadn‘t done anything since his injury against Nadal in ’22, but this year, Ruud should just be a lot fresher after getting a long break, while Zverev has played five-setters again.

MAX has a ton of airtime for Ruud between the two semifinals. I think they're yet to mention Zverev :tearsofjoy:

Let's put it this way. If I had to throw Roglic off a mountain to stop Zverev from winning a Grand Slam then Roglic better have good insurance.

The one thing Zverev is best in the world at is bringing out the worst in me.

Zverev lost the US Open final on September 13th 2020. A week before the Tour ended.

We finally have an explanation for Planche des Belles Filles.
