US Open main draw starts tomorrow, Monday. Hopefully somebody other than Sin'ner and the Joker can take the win. I hope to hell Monfils gets into the second week,

I hadn't followed the news but really?

I had expected him to play Vienna on a WC

I think so. Now you make me doubt myself but I think he said that in the on-court interview. I was watching a few things simultaneously so not entirely sure.

Yeah, it does indeed seem like I screwed up there. Sorry, obviously Vienna is a more likely ending point.

Welp, I don’t want to jump too far ahead, but judging on the quality of the remaining players on the men’s side, tomorrow’s clash between Medvedev and Sinners looks to be a fairly big favorite to win the tournament. Otherwise, a potentially once in a career opportunity for the other players that have never made it to the final of a GS. Draper is the youngest, but not sure that how often he’ll be this deep into GS tournaments.

It just occurred to me that Nick Kyrgios used to date Anna Kalinskaya - Jannik Sinner's girlfriend.

Could his continuous outspoken-ness against Sinner and his non-suspension stem from simple jealousy or some form of resentment relating to that?

Other than him just being a toolbag with no filter.

What, they cannot just change the schedule!! The men's US Open final always begins annoyingly late at 10 PM CET. So I turned it on 15 minutes ago... Luckily I managed not to see the score, but my sleep could have been less compromised if I had actually bothered to check the start time.

Yeah explains a lot tbh. I think the 'second serve' comment shows something else his driving his anti-Sinner tweets other than moral righteousness.

No surprises. After Djokovic and Alcaraz lost early, Medvedev and Sinner were the other likely candidates for the title, and they met in the quarterfinals. Whoever won that match was going to win the title.

Yeah, not the best slam. Many very lopsided matches in the latter stages. Impressive mental toughness for Sinner with everything that has been going on.

I might be too daft but I just cannot really see what that comment was supposed to mean. Evidently something bad towards Anna if you judge the reactions but it could also be directed at Sinner.

Anyway, it's probably too much to expect that Kyrgios' trash talk should make perfect sense.

Kyrgios is a loudmouth and a punk (I hope I can write that without getting in trouble), but I agree with him on the Sinner case. To expand on that, I would need to move it to the clinic.

This has not really anything to do with the Kalinskaya post, now, does it?
