the twitter Rogla mums don't understand that. their love (and pettiness) are blind
I think Red Bulls performance as a whole may be a predictor for how Roglic will show up, but aside from that, Evenepoel is pretty irrelevant as they're barely gonna race together.

Roglic skipping the Ardennes would be especially annoying.

The one who should be worried about Del Toro is Roglic for Tirreno-Adriatico.
On that route, if Roglic doesn't recover his punch he had three years ago, he won't have a chance.

BORA could challenge him on a more mountainous course, but not on this one, it seems impossible without Roglic's puncheur version.

Moms having a favourite child can tend to be traumatic but that is life. Anyway, del Toro snubbing Remco and Christen taking out Maxim, all the same day.

It's so on!
Del Toro got the win, but so did many others by not crashing in a super dangerous race shaped like a mushroom, @8-10 across the road with wind, lucky there were not more crashes. Del Toro has above average TT times but Remco and other specialists are still in.. Stage 3 is pretty strange now that Tudor, Jayco, Trek, all had decent riders finish @230-330 back, maybe involved in the last crash. Anyone who didn't crash was a winner

TA is three weeks away, so currently it doesn't make much sense to involve Rogla. Remco and del Toro should manage just fine. As for TA Rogla has plenty of opportunities to take time on competition, from ITT to stomping, that is if the team will be up to such task, supporting him. And there is a nice stage in there on where Rogla can murder the field, if needed or desired.

I assume UAE is interested in winning stages just as much if not more then the overall. Ultimately i feel that Remco will need to get dropped, when climbing, if UAE want to take this one. So lets see if they can do that, or not.

If yes, then RBH will likely struggle to challenge them in near future. If no, then RBH can challenge them for No.1 spot in 2026 season.

I tend to agree and UAE will be under pressure from more than just Remco..Del Toro was raw meat before but with today's surprise win he needs all hands on deck for both angles, keep lead and chase others.. RBH is a very good team overall and they have not sent real focus on UAE tour. So if Remco doesn't win, it's hardly the end of the world. Remco is also getting a chance to show were his TT stacks up, some rivals are at this race, but also some decent TT specialists, Del Toro has more to lose, he can get grounded if Remco destroys his TT time.. It's short race, advantage Del Toro. If it was @30+ k could be a real teaching moment. I like lots of these guys, including Tiberi, but I don't see Remco rolling over for anyone. Del Toro is the man of the day, I don't think Remco is intimidated. He has already been racing like an animal and it's February.

He can not catch a break…seems Like everytime he is in shape he either crahes or gets sick
Well Red Bull said in a Statement, that they will decide tomorrow, if van Gils will be able to start in Andalucia. Let's hope, that it's nothing too serious..

It's not still considering his form the inability to hold on the advantage from ITT when climbing, beaten by Pogi doms, that would count as a setback. Said that i feel that Remco got this one under control.

The TT isn't going to matter that much, it's too short. Bonus seconds will be more of a factor.

He's either climbing with the best, dropping them, or getting dropped. No chance he's winning a sprint against Del Toro. Getting dropped would be a blow, even this early in the season. Finishing with a couple guys wouldn't say much either way, it's February. Dropping everyone would be promising, but...it's February.

Clasica Jaen, Bora could have done more and put Etxeberria as domestique to close the gap. But they didn´t, would love to hear the explanation of the DS. The good thing is they were in the final with numbers (4 of them) and were able to do something in the last 25 km but there the gap was already to big.

But to be in the final with that many riders is a positiv progress, in the last "bigger" one day races Bora wasn´t present.
Vermeersch is looking good for the classics, also van Gils - fingers crossed that he has no serious injury and can return to racing/training within a few days

Today was a complete Christmas gift for Del Toro, he was probably happy with @5 to go that none of the sketchy near misses turned out to be non crashes. Del Toro looking at teams with good sprinters who found themselves in bad final sprint position probably feels triple lucky. Even if Remco takes back some time in the short TT , Del Toro is still under pressure on stage 3 which is basically a drag race to the base of a leg crushing climb, Remco can just sit and spin, eat, drink, get ready. UAE has to chase everything and with the conditions, the typical UAE of keeping things heated on the front, drop off leader at climb or near it are going to be harder.
Internet might think Del Toro is interchangeable with Pogacar he isn't, not close. He might end up having to do some work on stage 3 before the climb,
I hope teams don't race to conservative and really go after UAE. I don't know what Del Toro has written down for TDF goals but I expect it's more than just finishing and I don't think that UAE has some share plan at Strade or any other race where Pogacar is present.
Bora has some cool looking cards to play, If it's not Remco they have other options. If they were boxing I would pick Isaac because he has the reach on tiny Remco but as far as amount of fight in the dog..I just get a feeling that Remco is angry about something and it's not Lipowitz or Roglic..
** semi weird internet thing, there is lots of speculation about something wrong at Camp Visma***
..Ben Tulett is a good racer, getting better he looked good, I hope Visma can keep him out of trouble.

Likely RBH was caught off guard by del Toro, him making such a move and winning the stage in the way he did. 10s of an advantage in the end is rather substantial. So i think that plan A to be to take the leaders jersey tomorrow and defend till the end of the race, by not getting dropped. If RBH and Remco feel strong enough and believe they can drop the UAE (duo), then that could for sure be a viable plan too, but i don't know to be honest, if any of this names mentioned is really all that droppable on this race. We'll see.
