I think it's gonna come down to who's got the best legs during the closing laps. If/when Pogacar attacks, Remco must get on terms. He cannot play it prudently as he wisely did on the big cols of the Tour. He's got to risk blowing up to stay on the wheel and then, if he can, counter-attack. The climb is short enough that he can risk all for glory. Nothing but gold matters to him anyway. The distance and attrition, if he's on a fine day, should allow him to unleash his power in all of its brute force. The question remains, however, as to will it be enough if Pog is also in beast mode on the day?
