I wonder…
Neilson Powless told the press that he avoided crashing in San Sebastián by looking at the map on the screen of his cycling computer.
I feel Remco’s latest crash (and a few other crashes in the peloton) could be avoided, if riders without too much knowledge of how the next curve is going, would have the routemap on their computer in descends, instead of their power / heart rate / whatever.
this is good post; map helps a lot on descend it even gives you a warning if there is a dangerous curve and its all only one click away from HR and power which you dont even need on descends.

An allrounder unless the route has descents, grind roads or needs steering qualities…

You are very optimistic about him winning duels with those big names.…beating Carapaz in Poland hardly says a lot as that is not a race Carapaz even targets…

But I do hope Evenepoel manages to work on his steering and descending skills in the coming years and does not get overconfident again thinking he is back on track. He could become one of the big names but he still is far from being there and def from beating them.
Oh, when Fughlsang and Carapaz were destroyed by Evenepoel, they didn't target. But when Evenepoel was riding his first race (a terrible challenge, a grand tour) after a devastating accident, and after a difficult rehab, and when he was fading after a week, then Evenepoel was (is) a loser. Unable to compete with an A-level field. And after winning two smaller stage races, the only thing you noticed is that the big guns weren't there. This season, he won already 5 races, and in his whole career 17 races. More races and more important races than most of the actual pro's.

Evenepoel is not controlling his bike well. No doubt about that. But in the last months and in the Giro and Tour, we've seen a lot of (top) riders, even known as very agile "cyclists", being victims of heavy falls, going around the bend and ending up in ravines. Nibali, Mohoric, Caleb Ewan and dozens of others. Van Aert had a terrible accident in a easy bend in a TT in the Tour 2019. Van der poel made a devastating salto (alone in the field) in the mountainbikerace in the olympics. Why didn't we read your comment about this ?

Again you prove that you know nothing about cycling. In addition, you are very selective and subjective in your comments .

Ok I am just done with you constantly saying I dont know anything about cycling. It is an insult for someone like me who has been closely following cycling since 1997, when I was 10 years ols.

Sure I dont know every result, every inteview, but who does?

And then I read your “comment” and it is just laughable and insane.

So for the first time since I have been on this forum, I will use that ignore function.

you are so not worth my time, I am done with your toxity

I DO and i am super proud of it

I don't know where it went wrong, but this chat has become toxic. That's not necessary. We have governments to set people up against each other.

Regarding Remco: it wasn't a great field in Denmark, but it's still a solid win. I don't want to speculate whether he's back to his pre-crash level.
I look forward to his performance in the Benelux Tour 2021. That will have a much stronger field and it will tell us more about his current form.

It's actually good to study the course before the race and highlight the kms that may be a problem. You can even tape them to your bars rather than be fixated by your computer. That still doesn't protect a rider than doesn't know how to adjust to variables on the road; particularly when that rider can't take the ideal line through a corner.

Drop everyone on the Sormano, take it easy on the descent and go all out for the rest of the race.
Finish 5 minutes ahead of 2nd place.

A guy can dream.
There won't be Colma di Sormano this year, I presume. The Lombardia starts in Como and ends in Bergamo, we don't know the route yet, but probably Sormano is out of equation.
