May i quote one of my best predictions ever from today's thread:

No way remco drops roglic today i think.

I think he passed the Bambi torch months ago. Looks like Padun is holding it now.So Bambi is leading a Micky Mouse GT that nobody cares about even starting, let alone fighting for GC as they are either preparing for Worlds or just have to show up to fill the team quotum...

It doesn’t say…anything?Today's performance was tremendous, but doesn't say anything about his GC chances.
Yet.
Kutgw Remco. And nice way of handling the intrusive camera man, exactly how it should be.
Well we all know he can drop bombs on a the first (sometimes only) mountain finish in a stage race.It doesn’t say…anything?
I’ll go out on a limb and say it says SOMETHING about his GC chances.

It's the recovery and the 3 weeks thing I'm crossing my fingers for. Hence the 'yet'. And I'm absolutely a believer and supporter, don't get that wrong.
Of course we have to see how he holds up. Team looks very questionable, he's unproven. But today definitely says something about his chances. He's in red and looks like the strongest right now. It was the first real mountain finish and he put all the other big names in the back seat. His chances are quite a bit better today than they were yesterday. To be fair, and I say this as a big fan and supporter, the big caveat is that the arrival was at 1.088m. On the other hand, taking 1min30 on everyone except Mas is offcourse superb. I wonder if some other contenders like Hindley, Sivakov e.a. won't regret they simply followed Roglic in the pursuit and didn't take turns or tried to go faster then him. Maybe they couldn't either ;-)

No one still quibbling about him finishing with the front group on stage 5?
That’s generous (and funny) of youMay i quote one of my best predictions ever from today's thread:

There is a massive weight difference between them. Kuss is mostly listed around 61 kg and Arensman in region 68-70.Arensman has 435W for the climb for 29.46 https://www.strava.com/activities/7698513819/segments/2997911447738346656
Kuss has 340W for the climb for 30:55 https://www.strava.com/activities/7698732235/segments/2997921888444450208
Roughly, assuming the same weight of 65kg, it would translate in 6.7W/kg for Arensman and 5.2W/kg for Kuss.
There must be something off with either or both of their powermeters and/or quite some weight difference to explain this difference...
As does that other platitude, one day at a time.Anyone quibbling about him finishing half a second ahead in the TTT? Thought so…
Great ride today. Nicely estimated. The usual platitude still holds though: 15 stages to go …
One of the funnier fake/troll accounts.

Patrick just wants us to think it’s a fake account. One of the funnier fake/troll accounts.
Just imagine, Uijtdebroeks is wasting his time in Avenir. He could have dropped Roglic here today! As a Tour of Norway sceptic it's been a bad day.
