He is nos affected of anything. He won the time trial. He did a great time trial. The only reason all of you think remco did a "bad" TT was because tao and thomas did the best TT of their lifes.
What about DamDam Caruso? Everyone within 1 minute doing their life’s ride, and Remco was just ordinary Remco?

He looked so worn in the post-stage interview I think it’s more probable than not we won’t get to see a proper Remco v Rog v Ineos-duo. Which is a shame.

Pretty disappointing performance even though he won. Based on the last 2 days I wouldn't say he is going to win this Giro.
He won, but is the biggest loser of the day. I can't see him winning the whole race now. However, he has the jersey so perhaps he takes strength from that. But his team is lacking, so it doesn't bode well. Crans Montagna will tell what he can or can't achieve in this Giro.

I haven't seen such a tired looking remcos after a TT. Luckily a rest day and some easy days. Maybe we hear more from Evenepoel after he recovers or leaves the giro. ( Just like in the Vuelta and wc itt. He always said he felt good and later he said I was crap couldn't stand on pedal, couldn't push any power..).

I think we are seeing it - it’s happening as we speak. It’s just the results that are not according to expectations…

This in my opinion is inline with his performance in last years Vuelta. It’s just that now he’s not dealing with weak and tired field while he himself had Vuelta as his main season objective. And lost time in the mountains compared to Mas anyway…

i told you all months ago many people are in for a suprise about remco in the mountains in more than one day races, long mountains ,,,,everyone in the inner circle of cycling already knows this hes far far far behind even the likes of someone as bad as G.Thomas should tell you all you need to know..move on remco is not a good GC contender yet, some mega fans believe so but the clima in inner cycling certaintly dont believe so and they have first hand knowledge about the data.

GL hopefully when giro is over some will know what remco are and what he isnt.

Sure, he won 48s on the 10th stage? in the Vuelta, but now he can't manage breaking in 9days. ( And those stages in the Vuelta were harder, Roglic was there).

Edit: I shouldn't bother responding to this

Again with this bs? You know this is all wrong.

Remco still has a good lead, and if much of this is due to the crashes (which seems to be likely) he can recover over the next few days and be back on point before the serious mountain stages.

He may be going into the mountains with a smaller lead than expected, but at the end of the day you can lose time fast in the big mountains if you don't have the 3 week climbing form. If he has it he's still in with a shot, if not (and it's not due to the crashes), then it was not going to end very well anyway.

Still looks to be a great giro and almost anything is possible

The crashes apart, he still looks like he has some baby fat to lose. If you look at Thomas, Geoghegan Hart and Roglic they are simply skinier. You can see by the cheek lines, which are carved more deeply than his. I thus can't see him keeping up on Crans Montagna, Bondone and Tre Cime.
