Wonder if he will still ride Dauphiné now that it overlaps with Il Lombardia. From a Polish article, likely it was also in the GdS article, he's supposed to ride Criterium du Dauphine (12-16 August) and Tirreno-Adriatico (7-13 September).
I know, been wondering the same.Wonder if he will still ride Dauphiné now that it overlaps with Il Lombardia.
I would guess he wants to ride Il Lombardia since it was one of his main goals prior to the season. Also seems better for the team. Another free spot for the Dauphiné which probably is the ideal race to prepare for the Tour.I know, been wondering the same.

Now we know:
Burgos
Poland
Lombardia
Euro Championships
Giro
Right. That would complete it nicely.I would like to him riding more Italian classics but I guess he is really committed with the Giro goal.
I suppose Tirreno and the World Championships will still be in his schedule during September.
Will he really have to drop the National Championships? WC ITT is the 20th, NC the 22th and WC RR the 27th. It's a bit of a hussle to travel back and forth, but it might be doable, no?Right. That would complete it nicely.
The only major races that he has to drop are the national championships, Flèche Wallonne and LBL.
I hope they will all take place.
Are they really going to keep it at that date? Between the two WCC events? Will he really have to drop the National Championships? WC ITT is the 20th, NC the 22th and WC RR the 27th. It's a bit of a hussle to travel back and forth, but it might be doable, no?
I think they will. To be fair it's pretty hard to find a good date if almost 2/3 of the calendar is filled with GTs.Are they really going to keep it at that date? Between the two WCC events?![]()
Those are the old dates of the EC iirc. The new dates for EC are 24-28/8.European Championships 9-13 Sep
Tirreno Adriatico 7-13 Sep
So, no TA.
I think this is Wielerflits BS'ing again. They quoted an article, from two weeks ago, which was older than the one where QuickStep revealed Evenepoel would ride Burgos.Apparently Deceuninck-QS isn't one of the 12 WT-teams picked by the organisation the ride the Vuelta a Burgos, so his program is already outdated. I can't really think of any alternatives to ride at that time apart from some 2.1 race like Sibiu Cycling Tour.

They don't even give a source, which is even worse than what WF is doing. This is, as far as i can see, the original source for the "12 WT teams" news:
Since yesterday, the Burgos website has been updated. No longer the 2019 race, but "some" info on the 2020 race. The first stage is already posted, with a cat1 climb in the middle of the stage: +/- 6.5% for +/-6.5km.The program of Richard Carapaz is mostly identical to Evenepoels.
Burgos, Poland, Tirreno (I expect to see Remco there as well) and the Giro of course.
He could also be a podium candidate for the World Championships road race.
Burgos is going to be interesting. The opposition is the strongest he's ever faced (Carapaz, Yates brothers, Mas, Quintana, Landa, Majka, Valverde, Sosa, etc...) and the finish on the Picon Blanco looks particularly brutal.

If anyone has the stage details of this year's edition, I'd love to know.
