I think it’s better for cycling if Remco tries MSR and like Pog doesn’t win. Not that I’ve anything against them, some of my best friends are cyclists.

It's also entirely possible he doesn't win MSR, which is easier to lose, with or without cycling friends.

Don't get why we are now questionning other rider statements.. based on what? some tv images we have? Would advice to start riding in the peleton and then you can talk about it.

No matter where Nibali is/was he knows the speedup of the peleton and that they hand't caught him. He gives his opinion. you can disagree with his opinion, but be fair about it instead of finding excuses why his opinion as a rider that was involved in the race is wrong whereas a banksitter watching tv fragments is right. We as viewers have absolutely no id what goes on in the peleton and what they can see/hear/feel.

Rog was clearly struggling on the long climb in Tirreno. Now he's very clearly 2nd best.

Evenepoel's attack was well-covered. Nibali did not try to go with him. He was not even sitting anywhere near him. That's the factual truth.

You have to look earlier on Redoute to see where Nibali is positioned (remember he is in Astana colours, nowhere to be seen on the previous images):

He is near the back, with probably more than 30 riders between him and Evenepoel (EDIT: I counted that to 29 riders between them).

When he gets 25, the dawg will have 40 years, and will win the tour de france like Horner won vuelta 2013. No chance for remco. The dawg is getting the hard miles until 40 also after his setback.
