He is training in Calp spain, i follow him on strava, but it's not in altitude like sierra nevada or teide.

1 kg is a mere 2.2 pounds. I can drop that in a day just by not eating much and going for a 2 mile run

He indeed does. Good for him, if he tries to maximize his chances at the Tour, I guess. A 3rd name in the fight wouldn’t hurt.

Also don’t think Quickstep is particularly bad in preparing for GTs and the necessary skillset. Uran, Mas have a GT podium, Alaphilippe almost pulled a Tour podium off, Landa looks revived.

Ride a hard 4 hrs with someone stronger. It'll happen even if you don't want to lose weight.

Kills me every time. Absolutely no way anyone can arrive at a conclusion from one photo, weeks away from a previous photo.
