Evenepoel never rode Amstel Gold Race. MVDP rode it twice, where he finished 1st and 4th.It will be interesting to see how Remco does on this course. But he did it before, right? I can't remember.

Well, then, all the more so shall it be interesting to see how he does!Evenepoel never rode Amstel Gold Race. MVDP rode it twice, where he finished 1st and 4th.
Indeed, it should suit him, maybe it's not hard enough. But it's a great profile that if he gets away, he wins.Well, then, all the more so shall it be interesting to see how he does!
You and Red are giving me body image problems.I know. Lots of people can as well.
Thanks, but it's really not that special.
Jonas participating in this race is unfair for the whole peloton. period. But Remco might find a way to make it about him JK.He looks lean, sure, but his arms look kind of jacked. He’s been bulking up for the handlebar Hulk smash when he doesn’t realize Jonas is a minute ahead on the stage, stealing the victory unfairly from him.
We're talking about maybe 20 seconds in the TT? If Vingegaard is flying, and Evenepoel isn't (like in PN) that buffer is meaningless.he is my favourite for the race. He does well in early ITTs and can build up a buffer in this stage.
Not if he rides like he did in TirrenoI wouldn't even rule out Vingegaard taking time on him.
It's not as technical as 2022 I think. In the 7.5 km opening ITT of the 2022 edition, Evenepoel took 15" on Vingegaard. So 20" would be the same difference per km.
I think that's an upper bound on the difference between them on Monday, I wouldn't even rule out Vingegaard taking time on him.
I think the ITT is technical with a lot of corners, and 3 short climbs. It's not as technical as 2022 I think.
Those 3 short climbs don't necessarily favor Vingegaard. The steepest and shortest one seems to be on cobbles. The longest one is 5%.I think the ITT is technical with a lot of corners, and 3 short climbs.
Still favors more than a total flat ITT, even so i expect Vingegaard to lose some seconds in the ITT.Those 3 short climbs don't necessarily favor Vingegaard. The steepest and shortest one seems to be on cobbles. The longest one is 5%.
Judging by the map it doesn't seem too technical either.
I agree. It's not july yet.Still favors more than a total flat ITT, even so i expect Vingegaard to lose some seconds in the ITT.
I think, the race will be more exciting with Roglic in the lead, because it will be difficult for Bora to control everybody. There's a lot of talent in the top 15.A shame he fell, otherwise he would’ve won it. Would also created a more exciting race with him in the lead.
Nah, you want Roglic in the lead because he's the most defensive rider of the three. This means Remco and Vingo will go for it in some more stages than just the last one.A shame he fell, otherwise he would’ve won it. Would also created a more exciting race with him in the lead.
They are only within 20 seconds as of now.Nah, you want Roglic in the lead because he's the most defensive rider of the three. This means Remco and Vingo will go for it in some more stages than just the last one.
Sure, but for entertainment purposes I'd prefer Roglic 20s up on Remco than Remco 20s up on RoglicThey are only within 20 seconds as of now.
Will have to get closer, of course, but they dont really have to try at every corner.
Yup, Remco will probably try to get the bonus (if therei is?) and then attack at unexpected moments. Great entertainment until Vinge/Ayuso tries for real.Sure, but I'd prefer Roglic 20s up on Remco than Remco 20s up on Roglic
Remco and Vingegaard would go for it even when they are in the lead. Now you have someone in the lead that won’t attack.Nah, you want Roglic in the lead because he's the most defensive rider of the three. This means Remco and Vingo will go for it in some more stages than just the last one.
Idk, I think defensive leader + aggressive chasers is a great mix for stage racing. If Roglic were 20s down he'd basically be out of the running, which would mean it's Vingo vs Remco, but now it's all three.Remco and Vingegaard would go for it even when they are in the lead. Now you have someone in the lead that won’t attack.
What is that based on?A shame he fell, otherwise he would’ve won it. Would also created a more exciting race with him in the lead.
Based on a fall having a bigger impact than a misdirectionWhat is that based on?
