Well, I wouldn’t say Catalunya will be used to prepare for Flanders, as he actually has a chance to win one of them — and I’d bet it’s not the latter.Looks like Flanders is a target with Catalunya used as a sharpener after altitude.
After first Altidue camp, he should be in good shape. If he starts the season in decent form he could win his first 3 races
You could also see it as a missed opportunity to let them work together alreadyRB leaders being kept apart I think, they don't want any drama before the tour so they will end up with weird schedules.
He can win UAE if they have the usual parcours and he doesn't turn up looking like he's been on the chocolate ice cream.
If Roglic doesnt race the Giro I think him joiming the Ardennes makes senseRB leaders being kept apart I think, they don't want any drama before the tour so they will end up with weird schedules.

I think it's like MVDP riding Tirreno to make sure he's at his best during MSR. Some riders need that extra spark in their legs before starting again.Well, I wouldn’t say Catalunya will be used to prepare for Flanders, as he actually has a chance to win one of them — and I’d bet it’s not the latter.
I could’ve sworn they were doing a TTT instead at Mallorca this year?Disappointing indeed.
Looks like both the so called Plan A (Giro) and Plan B (classics oriented with possibly RVV/MSR) have been ditched.
It does sound like it is not all set in stone though so I hope they might change their mind during the season.
Also, he wants to start with a ITT at Mallorca. I didn't know there was an early season ITT at Mallorca? Is that a new race or am I missing something?
That's correct. TTT of 26km's on Thursday 29th of JanuaryI could’ve sworn they were doing a TTT instead at Mallorca this year?
They are already weighing food at training camp apparently. The opposite of his experience at SOQ where at the December training camp it was all you can eatHe can win UAE if they have the usual parcours and he doesn't turn up looking like he's been on the chocolate ice cream.
Indeed. A lot less interesting compared to what HLN thought at firstSo it should be something like this:
TTT Mallorca
Valenciana
Altitude + possibly another stage race to be decided: UAE/Paris-Nice/Tirreno
Catalunya
Ardennes
Altitude (I guess?)
Dauphiné
Tour
Explains what was happening with magnier then. The opposite of his experience at SOQ where at the December training camp it was all you can eat
All you can eat for Remco, the others were watching their intakeThey are already weighing food at training camp apparently. The opposite of his experience at SOQ where at the December training camp it was all you can eat
UAEVery disappointed with Remco's schedule he had two worthy paths for him this season, either Giro-Tour-WC or classics (not just Ardennes)-Tour-WC but this one is just a boring schedule that at most could land him the win in a WT stage race like Catalunya or an Amstel.
He might be at altitudeBut I expected him to go to San Remo because it doesn't affect the calendar.
