There are a lot of riders that can beat Del Toro at UAE Tour though. I’m not sure he is the best on Jebel HafeetI think UAE would rather have Del Toro and a win than Remco as well and a potential loss

I meant a lot of non-UAE riders that can beat Del Toro
Apparently they will send del Toro
I know what you meant but if they're sending him as a solo leader they believe that he can (should) win the overallI meant a lot of non-UAE riders that can beat Del Toro

And still there are riders that are better than him besides Evenepoel. We’ll see who rides it in the next few weeks. Would be funny to see Ayuso win itI think it's the race that suits him best. Just one climb.
Del Toro has struggled on long stages with more than one climb, especially in the Giro. UAE Tour is the oposite.
Short races with an uphill or one mountain are what he does best.

Not a big fan of it either. But I don't hate it. Luckily Evenepoel will ride most of the time in a leaders jerseyGonna need more time but not sold atm on the new red bull kits. The blue sleeves look a bit weird atm. Atm i very much prefer last year kit. Maybe they will grow on me
That's true, but if someone like Onley is also joining, I'm not sure he wins there by defaultI wouldn't necessarily say better. Of course they can beat him, but its not a given.
And there's a time trial. He us pretty inconsistent TT rider, but maybe he can gain some time.
Also Jabel Jais being uphill sprint means free bonuses and this may be enough

I mean, Pogacar is the biggest guarantee you can have there but thankfully he's not going. And Almeida is a better climber but more likely to lose time in the echelons if there are any, plus he's racing at home in Portugal. So Del Toro is pretty much the best they have. Ideal? No but still good chance of winningThat's true, but if someone like Onley is also joining, I'm not sure he wins there by default
Yeah, that's true. I don't if UAE rather have Del Toro win against random riders, instead of paying for a decent line up and make it challenging.I mean, Pogacar is the biggest guarantee you can have there but thankfully he's not going. This is pretty much a perfect plan if you're targeting the TourThis is what Remco should be doing, , Paris-Nice, or Tirreno, not Valencia.

Yes we should get to see how good he really can be if he avoids injuries and illness next year. This is pretty much a perfect plan of you're targeting the Tour
