30 seconds in 12.2 k? That would be a solid beating.
Tarling got 18s on Pogacar last year. I assume Evenepoel is better than that Tarling, AND Del Toro has to ride in more wind. So 30s wouldn’t surprise me, but would be great nonetheless.

I’m looking forward to Wednesday though, a steep mountain finish

I have the feeling that Pogacar wasn't in very good shape and he won with minimal effort because it was enough against those rivals.

On the climb, he was more than a minute and a half off his best time. It was windy,
but that's a big difference compared to his best time. He had the race under control and delivered for his sponsors.

Del Toro believes he won't lose time tomorrow.
At least he ain't being false humble for once and tells it how he feels it.
Dude has a winning mentality.

Now obviously i want Remco to show tommorow why he's the reigning TT champ.
Del Toro lost 37sec to Ganna on a very simular TT in Tirreno last year and even if hes improved since then Remco is also better than Ganna. I think 30 sec plus minus is a fair mark not accounting for the wind.

Del Toro's words not mine, unless the source misquoted him. already forgot where i read that article.
I think we both feel remco wins tomorrow at least.

Yeah yeah I like that mentality in athletes. I just dont think we should always take it as instinctive value what they say prior to a stage is part of the gig. Shocked even if 15sec behind something has to happen to Remco for that imo.

So with no Van Gils at MSR and Flèche, maybe Evenepoel will ride one of them
Damn, just read the news as well. I'm no doctor, but that does not seem like an injury you can just get back from (if it's as bad as i'm thinking from the words) He'll have his work cut out. He looked in such good shape as well. Well deserved DSQ for Christen. Not that it will do Van Gils any good.

Depending on his shape Fleche may be an option (if he's recovering well between races unlike last year in the spring). i don't think he'll ride MSR this year. And i do believe remco will be in good shape this year. At the same time, maybe he wants to maximise his chances in LBL by skipping Fleche.
