Remco is only a bad climber when compared to Pog. He'd bad compared to Vingo when Remco has an off day, but did drop Vingo on Stage 18 at the TDF

And you don't think a 3 months removed from a hospital Jonas was allowed to have a bad day? Because that's the only reason why Remco was on very few occasions a better climber

Landa climbed faster than Contador (and Lance...) in that Tour, and when they faced each other, he wasn't better than him to win a Tour.

Don't compare Remco to Hinault in the Tour; you're not doing him any favors.

That's true, but Remco's were bad enough to affect his preparation. Nowadays you practically need a perfect run in the spring to arrive at the Tour in 110% shape.

Different but equally damaging to recovery time and racing preparation. It's not part of the sport to compare and then disparage an opponent because he was "less hurt".

Evenepoel wants to ride Flèche, but team says they first want to see how hard AGR was. I think it’s silly he wouldn’t do all of them. Last year was an outlier. After Brabantse and AGR, then a wet Flèche he was already played out due to not having a proper base. Which we saw in TDF too…
