Matt Keenan was quite emotional on the radio this morning. He had some personal experiences with Wouter in the past. I think the family should decide if they race today. I don't think their is a right or wrong descision on this.

I have no idea what happened to Carlos today. That was very strange.

Anyone have an explanation? I was stunned.

he had a mechnical or crashed and he continued on ardila's bike. I thought everyone could see that as they really put close up of his numbers on bike and jersey

what are you guys talking about?there won't be any race today which is not surprising at all...

I wanna see a real race to be run, ..........

yeah I also read this. good

After today there are another 17 days of racing. If they want to ride a neutral stage in the memory of Wouter, respect that. I have read you saying you want a race today at least twice now. It is not about you, it is about Wouter, his families wishes, his team mates and how most of the Peloton choose to honour his memory.

Stage apparently will be neutralized, the 4 jersey wearers and Leopard Trek will cross the finish line together
no Tyler?

Or the team will drop out after today's stage. They will no doubt want to attend the funeral.
Susan, please let us know the funeral/memorial plans, please... i would like to pay my respects, but my language skills may get in the way of finding out the information... thank you.

today will just be so so sad.

Ok... this Ardila must be very small. It's not exactly like Sastre is a giant...

No matter how they decide to go around the stage I feel like I have to watch it.

ardila is 165 and sastre 173

this mornings RAI programme on the Giro has been replaced with a repeat of a serie A football game.

I imagine the presenters are in no mood to work/broadcast a recap yesterdays stage. But a repeat of last years stage which Wouter won would have been a nice touch.

In the spirit and honour of the Race I hope they ride it together for a period of time then get on with it.
I've no idea what they all feeling right now, but racing is in their hearts and in respect for Wouter, who I'm pretty sure, would want it ridden in a race situation.
We'll see though..
But today I hope they ride in unison, which I'm sure they will.

I also think that a neutral stage today is the best and most respectfull way in memory of Wouter.

There will be a race but no racing today. That is how it has always been done and the wiser heads will prevail.

Your mate died yesterday, its just a stage.

We put black bar tape on all our race bikes. Each team will do 10km on the front to the finish

And judging by what some of the riders are saying, there will definitely be no racing.

The rough translation of Jens post in Italian is.

The Giro will be on today (as against no stage at all my comment) We will come together with a minutes silence at the start of the race. Then you will ride with heavy hearts to the finish, where the Leopard Trek riders and their entourage will cross the line first.

As it should be. Well done Giro.

CN didnt say anything about neutralising the stage, they only said a minutes silence like i said. well if they do neutralise the stage there is no point watching it. Im sure a racer would like his death to be remembered by some racing.

So stage 4 today.. 216kms but we are just riding no racing in respect for W.Weylands.gonna be a long day on the bike..

As for everyones comments judging and saying what should be done, you can't know how the peloton and those closest feel, let them decide and respect it no matter what their decision is.

Why don't you let those grieving within an arm's length of the situation decide, what we may think or assume is irrelevant, we must respect any decision they make.

Let it go will you. Go and watch some racing on youtube and stop being persistent and insisting that they race.

it's going to be neutralised like in 1995 and after that I assume leopard will leave the giro. I think most don't feel like racing when a colleague dies
