Hm - how did

turn into

Who started this rumour? Politiken doesn't name any of these Lux media.

Well, I did qualify everything by saying that is was all "delicious rumour"... Also I'm not a journalist, and don't see the need to adhere to any type of journalism ethics or standards.

This is an internet forum... Its all fun and games anyway. If I were to say that I saw Eddy Merckx, ball gag in mouth, getting whipped by a leather-clad Asian dominatrix in a Stuttgart brothel last week its not as if anyone will care.

But the delicious rumour in the paper was, that AS and FS might go to Radioshack if Lux project is delayed. It didn't say anything about the Lux project being delayed. That delicious rumour you made up yourself. In the paper Kim Andersen is actually quoted for saying that he can see no reason why it should be delayed.

Just like if you say you saw Eddie Merckx doing unmentionable things in Stuttgard, thats different from quoting a paper for writing that he did those things.

Today in Kazakh newspaper.

Whatever it was, etc. Cycling Federation of Kazakhstan is actively looking for recrutements. It is possible that the place of the Spaniard will be replaced no less than with big-name athlete Andy Schleck of Luxembourg, who in 2008, 2009 and 2010 became the best young rider of the Tour de France and is currently serving with his older brother Frank Schleck at team Team Saxo Bank .

- Negotiations are ongoing, we got a response from the Schleck brothers, if they did not create a team, then our proposal will be considered in the first place - said Kairat Kelimbetov.

Hmm why would they repeat this knowing what is known about the Schlecks -is that Luxemburg team coming or a hoax ?

CN reported this on August 5: http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/astana-interested-in-schleck-brothers

Hmm Susan let asume you're right ...

But again strange, cause it's in today's newspaper and they only mention Andy in it.

These Kazakhs know also for a while the Lux team has been announced, these Kazakhs aren't stupid to print this if?, or they know something we don't know yet Susan ?

Looks like a mistranslation to me. Maybe it means "if they hadn't created their own team, then our proposal would have been considered first." More like they have been talking with the Schlecks, but it didn't work out.

It's probably not true, but I almost wish it was. Imagine Fränk on team Lux and Andy on Astana riding against each other in a mythological Cain versus Abel battle set in the Alps. Finally Fränk has had enough, now he will make Andy regret that last beer, and only Vino can help him! Sports commentators with philosophic tendencies would have a field day!
