But the delicious rumour in the paper was, that AS and FS might go to Radioshack if Lux project is delayed. It didn't say anything about the Lux project being delayed. That delicious rumour you made up yourself. In the paper Kim Andersen is actually quoted for saying that he can see no reason why it should be delayed.

Just like if you say you saw Eddie Merckx doing unmentionable things in Stuttgard, thats different from quoting a paper for writing that he did those things.

Looks like a mistranslation to me. Maybe it means "if they hadn't created their own team, then our proposal would have been considered first." More like they have been talking with the Schlecks, but it didn't work out.

It's probably not true, but I almost wish it was. Imagine Fränk on team Lux and Andy on Astana riding against each other in a mythological Cain versus Abel battle set in the Alps.
