This is why they should have had two laps of the vista chinesa circuit. More risk and reward.

Hard to expect more than what has happened on this route. Would have been lovely with a second lap of the last circuit. It would surely open the race more up.

Well, just when you expect a pause before the storm, it's full on racing again. Positively surprised so far today.

I think it was the teammates of those in the break that sat up and created the gap. Took a while before anyone wanted to take responsibility behind. As it is now, more riders are pulling up ahead than behind, while the cross-tailwind helps them as well.

It will be interesting to see how those with strong teammates behind will ride on the climb.
