The best strategy for the Tour is to pretend to ride for the polka dots and a stage win. When he's six minutes down in the GC he should join the breakaway in a big mountain stage, supposedly for the KoM points. Then keep going, take the six minutes back in one day and win the whole thing.

I don't think he'd be allowed to. I don't think anyone would be allowed to. (Former) GC contender, or not; if/when the GC contenders realise there was a guy only six minutes behind in the break, they'd make sure to not give the break too much time.

He will dominate Pogacar in the crosswinds/cobbles with his supreme positioning, bravery and bike handling skills.

aaa
Now that Reichenbach is a faster rider than Pinot, Groupama fortunately allows Reichenbach to race for his own results.

Who would have imagined that few years ago?…
Nope.

Before the TdS began, l'Equipe had an article stating that Pinot wanted "plaisir" at this bike race. Not "victoire". He will play it again like he did so far this year: use the first stages as medium-to-high intensity training blocks. And then be a factor in the final stages, try to get a win and make it 33.

So that's his expectations.

Reichenbach the leader in his home country, after every thing he did for the team, that's cool. Tibopino will dom for Seb if Seb is in the mix. Like he did for Gaudu in the Mercantour....or Alaf' at the Worlds.

GFC will be united and strong in July. What's the plan?

If he wins another TdF stage I'd like to see his Girlfriend and cutest goat on the podium, too.

He'll need to be patient & seize any opportunity, which also means not going for the obvious big one aka the Alpe D'Huez on July 14th.

Every French climber will have that one marked down as "priority number one". That's why none will get it & one of the GC riders will win it. Thus breaking French hearts.

A win in his own backyard on the super-duper donkey Planche would also be sweet.

The 2019 TDF had such glory, and then . . . probably the saddest I've ever been for a favorite rider. Most fan-pain ever, for me.

It probably didn't help that so much of it was on camera, both during the race, and - because of that documentary - his reaction afterwards.

Is there any cyclist that the forum coalesce around as much as TP?

Guess he just touches a lot of people.
