No one said the sport itself couldn't be banned. :p

It would still need to be a sport! And I'm not trying to troll. I'm just of the personal opinion that a sport is an activity where the difference between winning a losing can very well be influenced by the physical prowess of those taking part. A game is an activity where the difference between winning and losing is largely dictated by skill and not physicality.

Oh, I get you now. Yes, its a game.

On that note, can we ban all the judged events at the Olympics! Note they're events not sports.

lol. I sort of agree. Nothing wrong with the events though, just the judging.

Agree. All judged events in the Olympics should be exhibition only.

I would like to see the type of slides that could end a catcher's career to be a banning offense.

Agree, as long as you implement rules restricting how a catcher can block the plate (such as he can't put his left foot over the third base line (perceived through to the plate) until the ball is in his mitt, or he's forced to step to catch the ball.

Agree that fighting in Hockey needs to be banned. Pushing and shoving is one thing, getting into a bare knuckle fist fight while play is completely stopped is another.

I'm surprised no one else has mentioned it.

Those damn horns always being blown at random times during football (aka soccer) games (aka matches).

Not crazy about the horns either. How do you like the cowbells? They're cute and quaint for about 30 minutes until the headache hits.

.

Easy to go for that...the ump is right there to award the run for a blocked plate. The funny thing is, this opinion is simply not flying for most fans and even some players. I cringe when I think of was it's going to take to bring this change. Alpe, what team do you follow?

I like the A's, Mariners, D-Backs, Giants, Redsox. Also tend to like the Tigers, Phillies, Padres, Angels. I sort of dislike the Mets, Braves, Cardlnals, Astros, Rangers. The one team I hate is the Yankees, more than any other team in all of sports.

Sadly it's not available to me. Which really sucks, because they have covered the track world cups and world champs in the past.

Another one:

Female Sports Reporters that obviously don't know the sport they're working in!
I don't mind if they truly know the sport and ask sport related questions, as long as they stay off the human interest BS.

Also, when will we get Male reporters at the obviously Female events? Ryan Seacrest does not count!

I nominate Joe Namath as the designated Male reporter at the Miss USA, Miss World, Miss Nude, Miss Whatever events :D (with a bottle of Jack in hand of course)

Fighting in hockey

FFS, it's the 21st century. I think it's time to evolve. Not to mention the longterm and often devastating effect it has on the lives of those who are thrust into that role.

Currently being discussed in the hockey thread...

It's part of the game and always will be.
