Yesterday I started on WC ITT for the men, but I thought to myself, these races are too big for my short openings. Just not comparable at all to those of Devil's Elbow, so I refrained from it.

So a thread was opened as a general one about the World Championships, then renamed as being about the Men's TT, but with no other WC location, it is the repository for anything to do with the Worlds.
If threads for specific events are imminent, I'll wait and transfer then there when they open, but unless that is soon (like a few hours) the Men's TT thread will become too multi-faceted, I suspect. Shall I just open a World Championships general thread, and move the non-Men's TT stuff into that?

I will make one for the women's ITT, and then I assume there will be different threads for the road races as well. The mixed relay and U23 and junior races probably don't need their own threads.

Not really in my opinion. It’s not like it’s all over the place. There is more discussion about the WC in the Pogacar topic than in the ITT topic. Which is also fine btw

A general thread will probably just be confusing. Last year there were also U23/junior threads for both the time trials and road races, so 6 threads in total across genders, age groups and disciplines.

Maybe we could also have a commuter thread with a discussion of what planes the riders are flying in on? I heard a rumor that remco fly with a budget airline very cheap, because he is highly superstitious and he believes he always win when he fly with them
