Three day race planned for Yorkshire in 2015

The ascent north out of Rosedale will still be a tough climb, with sections over 15% the problem is the distance between the climbs and the finish.

1 bunch sprint, 1 sprint with 100 riders and the hardest stage will either see a 50-60 men sprint or a strong group riding away. It's a stage race for Kristoff or Degenkolb.

Rosedale Chimney would be too daft IMO. 33% in some places plus the entrance very narrow so the cars etc would have a mare.

Ok, they have been invited to most WT races, so they aren't scrabbling around for good race days like a lot of Pro-Conti teams. And the most important non-WT races will be the handful of German ones.

But their sponsors sell stuff in the UK. And they have 20 riders on the team and so need a lot of races to give them all a full calendar. And they are doing the London one day race.

How do you know? Sweetspot haven't released what the route is let alone the teams going. And the ASO haven't released the teams for any of their french World Tour races and the Middle Eastern ones.

The Tour of Britain directly clashes with the Tour of Alberta. The Tour of Yorkshire directly clashes with the Rund um den Finanzplatz Eschborn Frankfurt (what a name that race has!). The Canadian and German races may not be any bigger but they are definitely more likely to be sponsor goals.

20 riders is a funny number. In theory, they should be able to handle two races at a time at least occasionally. But in practice that can be a little tricky at least if they want to send competitive teams.

They are definitely doing the RideLondon thing, by the way. It's on the calendar on their website. They only put races they are absolutely confirmed to participate in up on that.

Thats said, Yorkshiremen do have a bit of a reputation for self-agrandisment, most notably refering to Yorkshire as God's Own County so maybe he really means it.

I wouldn't say that's a great line-up. Kittel attending for Giant is the big draw so far but the overall is presumably down to someone like Swift, or some complete outsider who gets lucky in a breakaway.
