I think Purito would've been able to drop Nathas Haas
He means similar as in "similar type of rider with similar strong points", not as in "as good as Purito". I'm amazed how often people get the two confused.

Haut-Var, the typical Purito race - Lol.

Haut-Var was just a guys off form versus a guy in form.
Actually, the second stage was a classic 'Murito' stage. Except that it was over 200km long and wasn't flat for the most part, of course.

Strictly tyle-wise, I'd compare him to Contador rather than Rodriguez. Once he's out the saddle he moves a lot like AC

Contador's style is a lot smoother and more beautiful to watch at than JTL.

JTL does seem to have spent a lot of looking around this time, probably looking for Haas, Howard and where his teamates were. In those earlier races he just went and burned everybody off.

If Sky can sort his position on the bike out he could be dangerous.

I'd say he will end up being similar to Visconti.

Not that he's the same type with the same strengths and weaknesses, but that he's too strong to be "just" a continental rider but that he's not exceptional enough to become a relevant figure on world tour level.
