Asked about Brammeier's (who???) tweet, Nibali simply answered: "I just left it to my lawyer".

Brammeier's tweet is still there. I guess he doesn't have a lawyer. :D
Mere insults and name-calling are not punishable by law. What's Nibali's lawyer gonna do, huh?

Which law? Italian law? Irish law? Do you know the laws in those countries?
I am sure the concept of free speech is pretty similar in both Ireland and Italy :D

Ain't Nibali Sicilian!? Maybe Brammeier's gonna found dead in a river! :D ;)

To be honest Brammeier made a stupid comment only. I ain't gonna agree with him at all as it was pure nonsense from my pov. But that's it.

What I'm actually shocked about is Tony Martin! What a major goof he is!? Totally classless. I actually never liked him although I'm German (Okay in cycling I'm more Dutch/ Italian anyway). He just always strikes me as the typical German cyclist that ain't got no clue about the real essence and passion of this lovely sport. Apparently he proved me right. Medals ain't gonna transform a jellyfish into a campione. He should just shut up. To succor Brammeier is simply laughable for a guy of his calibre!

Great stage! Funny some called Greg not a winner just a couple weeks ago. Now he has two great wins already this season. I'm happy for him but today I must admit I was rooting for Sagan. I really want him to take the overall tomorrow. I lol'd when A. De Stefano on RAI asked him after the stage if today he was doing some training for Milano-Sanremo. Sagan was like WTF are you talking about, what training. I'm trying to win Tirreno-Adriatico :D

People have been calling GvA a loser for years and rightfully so. He simply hasn't been a winner.

Insult was actually a misdemeanor until not long ago in Italy. Now it is not, but you can sure be fined for it.
They probably changed it when they realised they'd end up with 95% of the population behind bars. :D

ouch, what happened to him?

He used sand paper on his saddle to improve his position. So he shaved his scrotum during the time trial.

OMG, did he win at least?
Yes, the pic should be from the 2014 Pais Vasco ITT that he won 7 seconds ahead of Contador.
He did the same thing at the Richmond WC ITT, if you do something like that to win an ITT you shouldn't talk about safety, how is something like that even allowed?
About the typical German cyclist talk, you have to admit that German cycling culture in general is rather narrow minded, only the TdF counts, and heavily focussed on Sprinters and TT specialists, the whole developmental system is geared towards producing those kind of riders, only very few races for young German climbers take place on German soil.

Asked about Brammeier's (who???)

A mere World Tour cyclist, five times national champion and owner of one of the more admirable comeback stories in the sport. Nothing to compare with the accomplishments within cycling of those of us who bicker on message boards of course.

One thing for sure, now he's got a big accomplishment on message boards too :D
We can call him a complete rider.

Tony Martin is an incredibly unselfish cyclist working for his team day in day out
Which says nothing about his charakter because he just insulted nibali the worst possible way.

what actually did he say?
not that it matters, because for me it's absolutely ok to insult Nibali.
