I agree about the organizers’ poor planning on that turn. I have rarely seen a turnoff to a side road coming off a downhill like that without the road having tape stretched across or at least a flagger standing in the middle of the road signaling to turn. I guess that the cars had to lv the course there made it more complicated. And for once there was no moto in front of them to make it easier to follow. But it’s also on the riders to know that was a key section of the course where they begin that climb.I just finished watching this one. It's tough having PN and TA running at the same time!!
Organizers fault the GC guys went the wrong way!!! But still an exciting race. I doubt the GC will be changed in anyway due to that wrong way move.
Chapeau to Barguil !
It’s true the leaders didn’t end losing significant time because of the missed turn. But WE (the important people!) lost a huge moment of getting to see the 3 top riders go head to head on tough finishing section. We rarely get that scenario so it’s disappointing (for fans) to lose out.
