great to see that he calls it a perfect stage although they didn't gain a single second on anyone, let alone win

looks like there'll be strong crosswinds throughout most of the stage tomorrow. 25-30kph cross/tail from the start till just before they hit the circuit in the end.
Gotta say I'm please to see that hard men are stepping up in the early spring stage races. I even saw a glimpse of Hotsteppers (god bless them) for a while at the business end. May it continue....

it all depends on how they race. If some of the climbers go at it full force then he has no shot. If they are looking at eachother then yeah..maybe

If MVDP can survive this climb (given it's properly raced with attacks from the climbers), Pogacar may just skip MSR and perhaps even RvV.
These kind of 'muri' stage designs are the ones why I fell in love with Italian races. In the 'Contador era' I thought these were way more common than nowadays in T-A and the Giro.

Ganna is too heavy to survive tomorrow. UAE has too many firepower with Majka, Del Toro, Yates and Ayuso. There is no chance Ganna survives, specially with Ayuso less than 25 seconds behind.

not for the win, yeah, but a good place in GC is within reach, I think. Many good climbers are a ~minute or more behind already, and could very well lose more time today
edit: and it's not like de Plus has much of a chance to win either, of course.

Yup but don't forget they will all out the whole climb. I will be very surprised if he doesn't lose more than 2 minutes.
ah yes Tarozzi in the break. That rider needs a special one man wildcard for the Giro if his team doesn't get an invite.
