It's called not having both of them work remotely.
You could have something like a chess clock which mutes the other person. I am sure the technology would be very simple.

Or just a simple volume adjuster. If volume is already coming in from one point, the microphone volume is turned off from the other input.

First sprint stage today with Milan, Kooij and Groenewegen as the fastest men among the pack. Then there's also Magnier, Bennett, Coquard and others to challenge them. If brought properly it should be Milan that wins easily though.

Looks like Ayuso & Tiberi for the GC. Otherwise some sprint warm ups which should give an idea of the pecking order for the GT's.

Tarozzi out there on his own again, he reminds me a bit of Pirazzi for some reason, hopefully one day he will have his moment at the Giro like Stefano did.

That climb, if we can even call it as such, on stage 3 is a big nothing. I'd be insanely surprised if Milan is dropped there. Only the first ~2 kilometers are worth noting, at about 8%. The other 16 are at an average gradient of about 1,7%.
The final 5km or so are at 5%, and then there's five kilometres of flat road, so it's a bit harder than you're making it out to be. I'd be surprised if Milan was dropped but I wouldn't be surprised if a fast pace means he can't sprint at full power, given there's no descent either.

Honestly think that if it were a 2km at 8% climb, descent, 8km flat, 5km at 5% and then plateau to the finish, people would think it harder than they currently do. Seeing it as one big climb at 2-3% hides the difficulty of it a bit, IMO.

How is Milan supposed to survive 1.7 kms at 9% if anyone wants to set a high tempo?

He also doesn't have a descent to get back immediately (that could also make it harder to keep up a high pace in the bunch, granted).

Anyone going fast enough to drop Milan instantly probably kills their choo choo train as well?

Yeah it's actually quite a tricky finish to perfect. Probably better to get someone to attack on that section, force Lidl-Trek to chase, and hammer it on the 5k at 5% part. Milan might still be in the group but it might be like the Napoli stage at the Giro where his sprint is then hindered. It's a hard(ish) finish, good MSR prep, given it's also 240k with 3300m of climbing.

Or, if you're VdP, just attack on the hard bit and hope for the best.

I don't think MvdP attacks early, I'd think he attacks the final km of the climb if at all. Sprinter trains should be depleted and vulnerable, and it's only 4.1km after the top.

I actually think it's very likely an attack wins. I can see Ganna getting it done too.

The pace is slower than the majestic UAE Tour. MVDP is on a DETRAINING ride today.

Seems to me like a stage where Uno-X should try something and hope Cort will be the fastest man to survive.
