How well do you think Ganna will do in the GC here? The parcours are so easy so that he might as well give the GC a run.

He'll lose the jersey in stage 6, but I find it hard to guess if he will still finish in the top 10.How well do you think Ganna will do in the GC here? The parcours are so easy so that he might as well give the GC a run.
I kind of agree, but on the other hand Tirreno is a big race. And it's in his home country. He might even podium the damn thing if he goes for it.Ganna shouldn't even waste energy on TA GC.
Try to win tomorrow, after that all the balls on the Poggio

Don't know how much, but I think there's been a consistent pattern of riders who go balls to the wall in Tirreno/Paris Nice underperforming in Sanremo. Is it really that much energy he'll lose? It's a question of pushing on one climb one day versus not doing it.

Van Aert in 2022 climbed better on Col d'Eze than on the Poggio. And that was with taking the mountain days mostly off.I think the 2021 Tirreno is what scares in that regard and that was an outlier in terms of craziness. Ganna doesn't have to do anything close to that.
It's almost as if they designed the parcours so that he might try for GC.
Surely not. They need to dislodge him on the steeper bits and hope his team doesn't drag him back on the shallower bits.Milan for tomorrow?
What team would be interested in 1). riding the peloton to shreds in 1,5 kilometers, and subsequently 2). ride it all the way to the line? I think there are no such teams.Surely not. They need to dislodge him on the steeper bits and hope his team doesn't drag him back on the shallower bits.
How's the weather? There was mentioned that some rain was on the way.
Average of 35.6km/hNot even a break..
