The night before the stage the boysstayed at the same hotel as Astana and they spent most of the day with the team, starting the bus and hanging out with the rider.
Scarponi's wife thanked Astana for being like a family for them, they honored Scarponi's contract and gave the rest of his wage to her to support his family.

Well, I haven't made a list and I know he has dodged some bullets before, but I would be surprised if this one wouldn't be among the top 3.
