Obviously what Sky is doing must be trainable... Froome rode at a consistent high rate the entire mountain and then had enough to launch the decisive attack with 750 meters to go. What's the proper strategy/tactics to combat that? Ride at a higher average pace than they are comfortable? I'm just at a loss to figure out how the other GT riders can compete...

OH MY GOD! WHAT A DELIGHT!!! What a brilliant tactics! What a splendid strategic idea that was played perfectly! What a power, what a valor and what a composure! It is something I've never ever seen for 8 years I follow. Probalby exactly stages like this are remembered most of all, pushing back some first or childish memories. It was just something we loved the sport for.

Contador fans, I sincerely sympathyze with you, but changes always come sooner or later.

I know what I think about Sky, I just don't like the double standards of some posters on here.

Santambrogio's ride today is as much an outlier as Froome's, as you well know.

That bothers me too. Sky is always getting slammed with riders that have never tested positive (Wiggins, Froome, Porte), yet a convicted doper like Contador is a forum favorite. It makes no sense to me.

I'm thinking the key to taking down Sky is either going with say about 10km out where all three sky members can't possibly keep up or waiting until the last km to leave it to a last second sprint.

Unlike you, I think most people are CYCLING fans here.

I just want to see a battle, US Postal crap all over again.

but how did he win those multiple gts?

seriously, contador is given credit here for stuff that we know to have been clinical.

Go to the clinic if you want to discuss doping, I wasn't even thinking about doping when I made that post.

Froome now has Oman, probably Tirreno, anyone knows what´s next for him?

Might be Catalunya or Pais Vasco, Romandie and Dauphine/TdS?

I think the thing is SKY's dominance is just not Wiggo and Froome, but their entire squad. The fitness level on the team is off the chart good. That's just not something I've seen in a good long while.

Doesn't it get confusing, to cheer for everyone who is a rival to Contador?

the tactic is Postal indeed.
Well I can think there has been quite alot of stages that has been more impressive than this, but yea, thier tactic seems to work out great

All this clinic talk in the race threads is destroying this forum.

Absolutely. Needs a serious crackdown or the race threads become just innuendo and sarcastic. The whole point of the forum being the only place should be to avoid this.
